I bought that same Ram Mount clamp not too long ago. That thing is awesome! The weather stripping looks like good quality stuff. Adding more support to the windshield makes sense. Only thing I see that I'm not crazy about is how tight that handle locks down. Hopefully it wears in like you say. Otherwise maybe some pledge or something like that to make those spots more slippery might help. Other than that, it looks like a good setup.
I wish I could show you mine. The very first time I loaded my bed up with firewood I couldn't dump it it was too heavy for me to lift up. So I mounted a small winch right above the back of the bed. Now it don't matter how much weight I put in it. Also I found out that winch be mounted High I had a flat tire I just pulled up next to a tree hooked into the tree and pull it up on two tires and made it easy to fix a flat. I also got a 50-inch LED mounted to the front bumper and two 12-inch ones on the back roof that shines backwards and one small one underneath the bed just for light around the camp. I mounted and bolt it down a battery and the front floorboard turn sideways to run everything so I went to worry about the engine battery going dead. I got a backup camera and I put gun bags between the front and back and that stops the Dust rolling back in when the window is down
@@ArizonaKid I also have a 30-pound anchor mounted and my framework underneath so when I get stuck I hook it to the winch and drag it out about 10 ft and it digs in and it pulls me out when there is nothing to hook to
@@mikeblack3170 not much rain here in Arizona so Rag top is just fine and honestly hard top in rain doesn’t really make a difference when moving . Would have to be inclosed cab to stay dry . I like rag top more than hard top .
I should do a follow up video , scratches as much as any other windshield , NONE are scratch resistant. Buy real glass if want no scratches. But what happened to mine is a long ride with window open and we noticed it was bouncing a lot but didn’t know was hitting roof and put lots marks right down middle. . Scratches I guess and so I’m no fan of the flip open anymore. My next one will be real glass and I will take it off for summer and put on in winter. Or buy a half plastic one for summer
First of all thank you for this video. My husband bought this window. I disagree about the instructions being easy. If not for your video we would not have gotten this thing on. The instructions are aweful
