It would seem like it would hold dirt. However, we have found that it is easily swept with a broom or vacuum. Also since it does not soak up water, any spills can easily be cleaned off with a wet mop or wet rag with a cleaner. This is the flooring that is used for high end pontoon decks and for yachts and those applications require an easy to clean flooring. In fact, if it were not in an RV, it could be cleaned with a water hose supply. Even a water mixed with a bleach will not damage the vinyl flooring (Prepare a solution of 1 cup bleach and 1/4 cup mild soap per gallon of clean water). I would be mindful about nailing the transition / seam binder strips with nails, in case your R/V has radiant heat panels in the floor. Best check first before nailing :)
Yes, it would be excellent for wet conditions and the padding does make it slightly soft under foot. It is used on high end pontoon decks and yachts for flooring. Much better than outdoor carpeting.
True. However on average, a Class A RV has a gas tank that can hold about 100 gallons of fuel but some of the larger RVs can hold as much as 150 gallons of fuel! So, when you consider the cost of gas to flooring it is about 2 to 4 tanks of gas and the flooring is paid off. HAHA
