Why version 1.70 and not the latest version?
Because Microsoft is ending support and no longer providing security updates for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. VS Code desktop versions starting with 1.71 (August 2022) no longer run on Windows 7. You will need to upgrade to a newer version of Windows to use newer versions of VS Code. VS Code will no longer provide product updates or security fixes on older versions of Windows. VS Code version 1.70.3 is the last release available for Windows 7 users.
What is the difference between "User" "System" "Arm64" and why you choose the "System" option?
"System" installations allow application access by all users, while "User" installations can only be accessed by the user who performed the app. Arm64 supports 64-bit processing and is compatible with Visual Studio 2022.
