You gave us soooo many wonderful tips, thank you! The math equations you gave are priceless. Everything is so beautiful. You were brilliant to keep with your wall cover.
May I ask for clarification. I want to do this but we have what’s called knockdown textured walls. Her walls look smooth to me, but if I’m wrong that gives me hope I can do on my walls. What do you mean by nested wainscoting on textured walls? Thank you.
Thank you! Welcome to my page!❤️ I show the exact products used (all trims) from The Home Depot, pause the video for a quick screenshot to help you find it in store 🙂 hope this helps! ❤️
Math is not my forte…so I’m probably missing something here. If you multiply the 4 boxes (27.5x4) you get 110. Space between each box is 4 inches which you multiply by 5 and that equals 20. If you add 110 plus 20 that equals 130. Your wall width is 131 1/8. What about the remaining 1 1/8 inch?
Such a beautiful look, I’m so glad I came across this video! Thanks for being so thorough. The wall colors are lovely - mind sharing the wall and trim paint brand & colors?
I heard the security chime and checked all the doors of my house thinking who came in or went out when I'm the only one here. Came back, rewinded and resumed the video and I heard it again, and so it was from the video at 7:35.. LOL!!!!
Oh nice! Glad to have inspired you! It’s from Amazon, link can be found on my Amazon store front! Description box! Thanks for watching and commenting 🤗❤️
This video has been extremely helpful!! Omg . Thank you! I am going to be trying this with my husband. We need to remodel on a budget and we’re both newbies to this lol
would you please tell me how height of your chair rail from the floor, thank you so very very much, you did a great job, I love your video. Thank you again.
Looks amazing!!! Can’t believe it! We are going to do this in our office. Can’t wait! Thank you for the detail explanation. Btw, how high is your ceiling?
Waw thank you Norma, your video is very useful and informative. Just a quick question any specific type of paint to coat the whole wall surface? What an amazing DIY you did there :) Love it
Thank you!!!! I love it too’ 🤗 So for the paint we used the exact same thing that was used previously, nothing changes. You can use any paint for it as long as you prime the trim first, that’s a very important step you don’t want to miss or the paint won’t stay’ ☺️
Great job Norma and hubby! 👏 You guys are adorable! Norma, what made you want to double frame each square? Looks gorgeous in your space! I’m doing my living room wall, but it will be single squares. I’m so glad you showed us your exact (outer wider) trim bc I didn’t know what type to use. Do you think that will look good even making single squares vs double like yours? Awesome video! 💗
Thank you!!!☺️💕 after looking at several styles and videos online I felt like the double frame was it for me lol Single frames will look perfect in your living room, you’ll be surprised of the transformation results! I would love to see how it looks after it’s completed! Send me a dm on my ig @normaavargas 😊
Hi! Thank you, glad you found my video helpful! If you fast forward to 3:05 I show the store label with name, price and detail of the trim from Home Depot ☺️ hope this helps! 🙂
Hello again sorry I am referring to the thicker molding in the middle of your wall it seems like you had installed before adding the additional 2 moldings
@@dianacastillo143 ah yes! That was previously installed by the builder when we built our home. It’s called a chair rail but that’s all I know. Sorry I wasn’t much help. I’m sure you’ll find similiar at your local hardware store 😊
Love how this turned out! Your video really inspired me to do this to my dining room! Just wondering, what was the name of chair rail moulding use? (The long straight one that is separating the upper and lower portions in the middle) Thanks! :)
Thank you so much! So that rail was installed when we built our home, it’s called LWM 390 11/16 in. x 2-1/2 in. Wood Primed Pine Finger ALEXANDRIA you can find it at Home Depot
That’s a chair rail moulding hope this link works 👇🏼 😊 www.homedepot.ca/product/alexandria-moulding-5-8-inch-x-1-3-4-inch-colonial-mdf-primed-fibreboard-chair-rail-moulding/1000431456
Question. I’m going to do this to my dining room. What size nails did you use and does it matter if you hit a stud or just the nail in dry wall enough to keep it on wall. ?
So you won’t need to nail this to the stud, all you need is 1” 1/2 inch nails I would used 2 in the mid center and 1 on each end of the trim and that’ll do!! 🤗 hope this helps!!
