I started shooting archery in the 1960's and people back then they just used knitting yarn and it worked just fine for silencers. One thing to remember is that the more wind resistance and weight that you have hanging off you string will decrease the efficiency of your bow.

Any tips for shooting with glasses on ? I recently had to start wearing glasses and im seeing the frame near my nose when im at full draw .

@@mikebritt8934 well, it might be an adjustment at first. I have had glasses the whole time so I don't know anything else. I would just shoot at least 50 arrows a day at a target just to get used to how things look though them and if they shift when you get to full draw. Just stay focused on what's in front of you and the distractions will start to fade 👍

I just installed these silencers but now my shots are crooked. Did I do something wrong?

Well, I don't know how it would make a shot crooked to be honest. First, make sure once they are both installed on your string that you remeasure your bows brace height (the distance from your string to your grip more or less) Putting in silencers can change the length of your string and might be a reason why your shot is off. If you want, you can send us some pics of your install to info@standingwolfarchery.com and I can see if there is anything that stands out and if we can help you fix the issue

i wonder what you think about silencers on horse bow, ive never used them and read many times that they do not work as good on horse bows as ot other types of bows

Well, I have never shot a horse bow but it might be because the string is much different than a regular recurve or longbow and the they are much shorter which could have no effect on the sting vibration

Do you ever have an issue with them falling out when you unstring your bow? I unstring mine after every use because I never know when ill be able to practice again. May be the next day or it may be the next month.

Just twist the ends of the string at the top and bottom of each silencer and it locks them in the string. You can do this on any kind of silencer not just wool. You will have no issues 👍
