This was so helpful. I was sure they must have made a different grip for this flash, but I guess this is the one. Hard to put on.

OMG! I was about to sell my V1, since I also have a V1 Pro, but this video gave me the idea to keep the V1 for my studio and use the pro for field work. Now I installed my Magmod on it and I am super happy having one more light at the studio.

I recommend heating the mag grip up with a hair dryer to make it more flexible to easily get it around the flash head. Just a little hack :)

Hey, thank you for the video, what about the Grid though on Godox V1 , as it is of a different shape..

A grid on the V1 still works along with all the other modifiers :)

I personally leave my MagGrips on all the time and have never had an issue with it. Hope this helps 😀

Does your magmod sphere changes the temperature of the photos . It makes a little blue and I have to increase the temperature

it hasnt changed the temp for me but i also often use a 1/4 CTO with a lot of my shots
