Congratulations on the purchase of your new Maytag steam dryer, we hope you're happy with your purchase.
Follow the step by step instructions in this video to properly install your Maytag steam dryer.
Tools you'll need:
• 1 3/4" Pliers
• Flat-Blade Screwdriver
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver
• 1/4" Nut Driver or Socket Wrench
• Vent Clamps
• Y-Connector

My steam line isn't connected. Is this why my dryer doesn't dry the clothes? I spent nearly $400 to clean the air ducts and it still doesn't dry the clothes. Do I have a defective unit?

My Maytag Bravos XL MEDB850YW0 dryer was in steam function and never shut off. Now I have water all over the floor. I had to shut off water supply. What happened?

Would the dryer still function properly if I don't connect the steam hose kit to my dryer (and I don't intend to use any steam options)?

I dont see any real problem with the way they are hooking up the hoses. Except its not necessary to disconect the hose from the washing machine. Just disconnect it from the supply line, insert the short hose or put the wye right at the supply and reconnect the line to the washing machine. Then just add the new line from the other outlet on the wye to the dryer. Id be sure and use a brass wye though since the plastic wyes are known to blow out at the threads under pressure. What i dont like is how they make it look easy to hook up a two foot section of vent hose and then try and get it all tucked back in behind the machine . That never works!

It's a steam dryer you need water to the dryer.
