Todd, Good stuff as always. What I appreciate the most about your videos is you give 3 tips, you get to the point, maybe a bonus tip, and only about 5 - 7 minutes. Short, sweet and not a bunch of wasted jabber compared to other channels that will waste 20 - 30 minutes for the same 3 tips + 1 nugget. Thanks from an “experienced” golfer in Alabama.
Thank you for these videos… So glad I found this channel!! Started “playing “ 3 mos ago…inconsistent hits . Time to fix it hits and have some good games . Santa Fe, NM .
Excellent tips Todd on finding the correct ball position and how to correctly arrive at the low point in the swing . As a proponent of the VLS, I'm always looking forward to tips like this! Well done Todd! Keep up the good work!!!
Good morning Todd & Nick, I've been enjoying and employing your tips and my games improved this year because of them. I'm 50 with degenerative disks in my lower back so by mid round I start to get stuck and hip rotation suffers. Keep up the good work. Justin from Central Wisconsin.
@@justinnelson1483 our pleasure! Nothing better than sharing what we have learned. You would also enjoy our book The Bad Lie which can be found on Amazon
Todd, been following your instructional videos for seniors. I live in Dorchester, just outside of London, Ontario. Had a right knee replacement in 2016 so I’m just getting back into the game. I had sold my Taylormade Burner 2’s, thinking my golfing days were over. As luck would have it, an old friend ask me if I still played. That sparked my interest. So I found on line a used set of Cleveland Ta4’s, c/w Hibour XLS Draw, Senior Flex 12 loft drive, 3&7 fairway woods. With your help my game has improved significantly in only a half a dozen outings. My drives have been for the most part have been: straight, but extremely high loft. As for distance: 150-200 yds. Wondering if changing to an adjustable loft driver would help distance. Say Cleveland Launcher X-L. Also shaft flex : would you suggest staying with the senior flex or change? Would be great to get your take on my options. Thank you in advance Rick
I have “The Bad Lie” download. I read it periodically to reinforce the videos. I know it should be the other way around. I’ve been playing golf for 40 years and now that I’m almost 80 I’m playing some of my best golf. Thanx
Hello Todd & USGolf TV team. I return often to your videos for help. It becomes necessary when you get out on course and can’t remember all the tips and my game goes to the crapper. Question I have is, as an experienced player at 77 what shafts do you recommend for us experienced golfers knowing we don’t swing as fast as we should with the good tempo. Currently playing graphite in T-350 irons and now considering a light weight steel shaft. Which shaft have you found to be best (on average) for us experienced golfers. Not certain if graphite, lite steel or Recoil shafts has any advantage other the other. BTW-after address to the ball following your tips (as best as I can recall in the moment) my swing thought is (turn) shoulders, hip, hip, shoulders. Seems to help, but still need to employ more such as finish high & knees together at finish. From Birmingham, Al.
Thanks for the kind words. In general we like a graphite shaft or light weight steel shaft. We do offer personalized coaching also if interested. You can find more details on www.vlsgolf.com
I am doing much better since I started putting more weight on the front foot, but there is no way that I can touch my knees together. They just won't bend that far. I have tried to get them closer together, but about six inches is the closest that I can come.
In Australia, at age 77, tomorrow 31st, I suffer from severe arthritis in my right ankle with severe osteo arthritis in my left knee, makes weight shift and rotation difficult. I am trying to rotate my back and shoulders on the back swing with my 24 hanicap, but have difficulty in getting the weight onto my lead foot on the follow through, without chasing after the ball! I am trying to swing like a pendulum without over forcing the follow through, but find on a lot of shots, especially with irons, I end up topping the ball! Any suggestions other than to give up playing!
@@AnthonyRogers-x3v admire your ability to keep working on the game. Suggest you read up on the Vertical Line Swing System in our book The Bad Lie which you can find on Amazon.
