For a flat one handed backhand drop, does the bean bag analogy also apply (I know slice backhand is more u shaped), but I'm interested in mastering the flat one handed backhand drop first

Could you describe when u use this technique vs ur previous forehand tutorial. I've seemed to have fallen into an amalgam and having issues hitting into the net more (perhaps not going low to high and more across the body)

Tremendous stuff! Actually I hit lobs the same way, but I hold the racket tight instead of loose. The lob is another third shot possibility but rarely discussed as such. Sure would be nice if you discussed it.

Great video, really good information and tips. One bit of confusion though. Early in the video, around the 9:00 mark, you are talking about setting up a base and almost doing a squat, getting low, and your legs in to the drop without stepping into it. At the end though, you talk about stepping into the drop with a step, then hit. So, can you explain this a little further? Most of the time in a game, you are moving to the ball, getting set, and then stepping in to a shot, so that makes the most sense to me. Thanks again for the outstanding content,

Yes, the first thing you should be thinking about is setting, which is mentioned earlier in the video. Once you get that down, then you can work on setting and then stepping. Both times you want to stop your movement but if you’re more advanced, you can stop.

Another stellar instructional standout from @universalrackets! I like the way you reiterate the fundamentals. Most channels I watch I end up rewinding the key points multiple times. Usually because the presenter is unclear. You organize your thoughts and succinctly communicate to the viewer.
