I like the last tip. I keep practicing edit courses and it’s messing up my timing. I’m old and have such bad timing. Also I made the switch to KBM since the makeshift season.
Raiders mechanics training map has tunnels that you must free build through so that helps with doing edit courses with your blueprint out and still having to place builds
What a great video!! I’ve been playing since CH2S2 and honestly this single video has helped me more with editing on controller than any other video did. Thank you.
@@immortal2511 you can use a mouse button for cone. I'm struggling with keybinds too, like I'm using t,r and f for floor wall and ramp. And editing with c or x. I wanted to improve but it's super hard to find out whats working best for your own
QOTD: B button on controller. Tried using R3 to not have to take my thumb off of the stick, but i switched to build mode at the wrong time in fights. switched off after 2 games
top right paddle is edit/blueprints. been using these tricks for past 3 years now. they do indeed work! and for controller players. paddles are the ONLY way to get good unless you can play claw and not break your hands doing so... wish to god i could be better on mouse and keys because it does indeed have perks. just hard to relearn everything through muscle memory. working at it though.
Great video Thank you. I use left analog stick for edit. And it's a bit clumsy but I use all four of my paddles for other stuff. I have a pro scroll shotgun. I'm pretty fast at editing and resetting not bad for almost sixty years old🤣
I have 4 paddles and mouse click triggers and a higher right joystick for aiming i was a call of duty player went to fornite and just switched to ps5 and was in xbox with nothing so i have to build muscle memory btw my edit bond is top left paddle btw amazing vid will recommend
Ok but who asked if you have 4 pases and mouse click triggers or that you went from xbox to PS5 Btw why are you even play with controller I mean there are still keyboard and mouse
#1 have low ping, otherwise it dosent matter how good you become, the game just wont do what you want it to. and by good ping. i mean anything that is stable under 25 is excellent, anything stable under 30 is sufficient but not as reliable and everything 20 and under is just god mode. if you have anything higher then 30 you start to loose reliability and ability to grab edits, you have to be directly on the piece opposed to being able to edit from a tile away... ping is everything for this fucking game...
I just put g as my second select edit button then made a macro that presses f then g like 3 milliseconds apart I can drag edit pretty quick just being able to double edit by pressing one button 2 tines is heat ngl lol
Mine is the move button so I don’t have to let go. I am planning to change to keyboard and mouse, so I am trusting the process. I know it will take time though. But thank you.
I use v to edit so because my floor bind is e so it makes it easier when doing for edits and I don’t have to worry about not being able to switch my pointer finger all the time
I use left mouse button to edit. Right click to select. Left mouse button to place. IDK if switching to keyboard edit would be faster. Any advice? Is it just comfort? Im good at how I edit and suck when I changed it so I need to know if its worth it.
Is there a better button on a Xbox controller when you don’t have paddles to use for build and edit than B bc Ive tried lots of other binds to get into my build menu and changed everything like my build reset and just haven’t found anything that works better without paddles
Just to be sure but… we don’t actually need a select button on controller right ? Like I have paddles and when you click on a paddle to edit you can also automatic select the part you looking at without having to select it ? That would be really nice !
So the Confirm Edit on Release is not in the settings menu anymore and an Auto Confirm Edits option is in its place? Anybody know if that’s the same thing?
im playing no build mode, i have a hard time getting used to right hand claw on ps5 controller, i can play when holding the controller normaly but in claw it feels weird, and i dont have much control over my aim
when i was on controller i used to use a back paddle to edit and then i would use a 3 button combination to reset so i basically had no confirm button.
I have been playing for 4 years and watching fortnite for 4 years and my builds are trash and my aim I try so many Settings and still... Doesn't make me better... It seems I'll never be a pro...
select edit - forward thumb butten select edit - right click reset edit - left shift yes i know im crazy (im trying to change muscle memory to better binds)
