this is so helpful 😭😭 ive been watching makeup on youtube for years but this is the first time its really clicked for me. everyone just says "swipe" or "windshield wipe" and im like yes okay but why is it still muddy? so having you explain about the gradients of blending and why you use a certain brush or technique was incredibly helpful. 😭 thank you so much!!
As someone who doesn't know anything about blending, this was the most helpful video I found so far! I usually only do a winged liner and go about my day - nothing else as it mostly takes me too long and I simply can't get the blend down. I can pack on eyeshadow, but didn't know how to blend until I watched your video. Thank you so much for the detailed explanations, I will try your tips next time I reach for some eyeshadow.
Girl these videos are given me life. Keep them coming. This is probably not “beginner” but in the MAC video you created a curve in the crease, can you do a video on this technique.
It's always good to revisit the basics. I love wearing monochromatic looks on days where I'm not in the mood for a "drawn out" look...you know, on these one-and-done days. Maybe you could do a video on how to deepen up the crease and the outer v. I remember that it took me a long time to figure that out; how to bring depth into my looks. I'm still strugeling sometimes.
Wow. I never knew that if you were to blend out the harsh lines with a clean blending brush you would get the transition shade. That's great bc I NEVER know which color I should start with! That was a GREAT tip! Thank you so much for this very informative video!

It states I'm 1yr late, but thank you because it's perfect timing for me. I've watched you and others for a few years now and purchased various products. I needed this because my looks would be muddy, or creasing. So thank you because I have hooded eyes and I see now not all brushes are good for my eye shape. Love this look, red's my favorite color.

I would like to learn how to achieve my eyeshadow going into a cat eye shape and how to make it match the other eye. I can do one eye but its hard for me to do the other which is weird
So here is what they don’t want you to know. No body’s eye shadow is ever the same. It’s just that other people can barely tell it looks different. Now if your looks are standout different to anyone else but you then we have to figure out why. It helps to work on both eyes at the same time and not complete one eye be fore the other. So for example, if you put color in the crease on one eye do the same fir the other before you continue
Hi Julia, when I started out, I would just apply my shadow and blend out the colours as much as I like, then to get the cat eye look, I use my concealer and a flat brush and clean off the excess shadow with one swipe starting from the outer corner of my eye up to top of the shadows which for me is usually around the tail of my brow. Same way I clean my winged liner to get it in shape when I couldn't be bothered with precision

Ohemaa, NYX and Elf have black eyeshadow base/primer. I have never seen a dark skin or anyone with close to my skin tone use a black base/primer. Can you do a video using it? I want to know what eyeshadows look best with black base/primer.
