Do you want to learn How To Interlock Locs Properly Using Crochet Latch Hook? In this video I explain as concise as I can how to interlock locs properly. I hope you find this video helpful.
Your video was the first video I have come across in a very long time where it was so easy and painless I almost cried !!!! I've wanted locs my whole life and I finally have them and it really has been a process im so glad you made this video you have truly made my life so much easier and made my day today !!!! Your Amazing Girl Thank you !!!
Thank you for another great tutorial and great explanations. 5310 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203As a new interlocker, I appreciate the demonstrations of the different tools used for the locks. Due to MY clumsiness, I think I'll stick with your hook needle demonstration because of the extra clap on a crochet hook to secure the lock. Thanks a bunch. 🤗
👏 Yasssss. Let me know how it turned out. Remember not go too fast and be mindful of your last direction so that you are always going in a different direction
@@GlamNaturalLife thanks so much. I will take that into consideration. It’s not the greatest so far but not the worst either; getting better as I go along. I’ve done really nice mini/twist in my hair before but this is on a bigger scale! Trodding in though. Thanks again! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I have areas of my hair where the texture is not as corse and never stays with retwist so I’m gonna try interlocking on those sections.. thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing. I am new to locs and want to do interlocking. How often to do wash your hair? I have eczema, do you have a video of how you care for you scalp with locs?
Thanks. I'm in a state of transition with the pandemic lockdown. Sort of forced to go natural and am considering my options. I've put box braids in my hair for now.
Lateasha Davis I hun. I gave about 110 now or 108. I combined a few later on. I started with two strand twist and started interlocking a year later I think. For the back it’s really a feel game and paying attention. Next time I interlock my hair I will do it from the back. I never thought to show that
GlamNaturalLife thank you. I had small comb coils put in at a shop 2 months ago right before the quarantine but I think I asked her to do them too small. It was 145 coils and my hair is on the thin side. They probably would have been fine but I just took them out and put two strand twist in myself. But I can’t part and some came out too big so there are now only 57 twists. I think I have to redo the back to make them smaller, but I can’t see. I was going for 100 twists. I think I want to interlock once I get it right so they can stay in longer.
Oh boy. You might be stuck with it. You can try smooth it out. Also as u get new growth you can try to pull the knot down on a wash day when it’s wet. Try to never do it so tight.
Still prefer my needle. But some people like or already own this hook so I did a tutorial showing how to interlock using it. I don’t even need a mirror with the needle. To me it’s easier
It’s probably just budding and will get harder over time. To help it you can palm roll the middle where it’s puffy or you can take the frizz in that area and wrap it around the loc in that area
Would this be good maintenance for silky hair started with twist and rip method? This is my second set, my first set had no rhyme or reason lol, and i want this set to look nice. And theres nowhere near me that does maintenance. Thanks in advance :)
Yes this method would be great for your hair or any loose texture hair that won’t lock easy the traditional way. I do prefer to use the locking needle tool than this hook. look in description for link to my original interlocking video using the needle. Good luck on your interlocking journey
Hope Adeyi I start with one one full 4 point rotation. For me East north west south. If I have enough new growth left to do a 2 point the I finish with that. If I have a lotttt of new growth I do two sets of 4 point rotations. It depends on the level of new growth I am working with
My daughter took her loc’s out. It can be done but you must be patient and go slow so you don’t lose hair from your scalp. There will be a ton of old strands so don’t be shocked at what you see taking them down. Good luck!!
Selecting very few products for your locs is key. These are products I reached for all the time in 2020 and will continue using in 2021. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GWsTx5Z49hc.html
