your data is ordinal. is it wise to use mean and not the median or mode? Likert-type data is ordinal data. (Question and Questionnaire Design Jon A. Krosnick and Stanley Presser)
Thank you ma'am, very helpful for my thesis! The only question for me is: What is this interpretation technique called? I want to know because I need to justify my choices! Thankyou!
Thank you for watching. The interpretation here is the description of the likert scale. So that if you will compute for the average of each responses of your respondents per questions you can easily explain the meaning or the equivalent value for having an interpretation.
Thank you ma'am its very good presentation for my thesis. But the only question is as my thesis I get the result of computed variable e.g. compensation(M=3.38, Std.=.666), training(M=3.42,SD=.749), employee involviment(m=3.44,SD=.694) performance appraisal(m=3.46SD=.643) how can I interpret please show me that thank you!
I think there are unaccounted gaps in the scale. For 1 it's 1 to1. 8, For 2 it's 1.9 to 2.7. What about if some value is at 1.87 which scale will this be put into?
Thank you for the detailed information Mam. Could you please help with 3 point likert scale. Do we give them the same scores as well? 3 point likert scale... Agree, Disagree and Neutral. I have used 3 point likert scale for my Thesis paper and i am currently analyzing my data.
It should be 1.00 to 1.89 for SD, 1.90 to 2.69 for D, 2.70 to 3.49 for N, 3.50 to 4.29 for A and 4.30 to 5.00. There are gaps in your continuum. For instance, you cannot find 1.83 in your intervals.
@@allenregza.pineda7636 check on the paper of Sir Jonald Pimentel (2019) entitled "Some Biases in Likert Scaling Usage and its Correction" I think it is a good reference for 4 point likert scale
Good day! I have a question that I hope you could answer, Ma'am. The highest vote in my survey is Agree, but when I used the likert scale the way you instructed in your video on how to make one, the scale showed to be Disagree. Is that normal? Or did I do something wrong?
Thumbs up for this very informative video Ma'am 👍. But i have this question since i can't clearly see the formula due to the quality of the video I don't know where or because of the app you used. May I know what is the formula? Thankyou Ma'am.
Thank you very much for watching. Simply Subtract HIGHEST LIKERT SCALE TO LOWEST LIKERT SCALE Then Divide the Result by the Given Highest Likert Scale Then add 1 to the Result
Maam hindi po .1 ang e add kundi .01 dapat po mali po na .1 yung e add nyu kasi ang .1 is equal to 10 ang .01 ay equal sa 1 kaya tama na gamitin ang( .01)
Thank you, mam, I have one query. Is this method is same for the 3 scales Likert scale? Is weighted mean and mean the same? How to analyze with weighted mean?
@@bindupoudel6870 Mam I suggest po use 4 likert scale. you can use this method for 4 likert scale. Eto lang po kc mga likert an maaari mo magamit. A scale of 1-4 does not allow the participant to give a neutral answer. This may be desirable in some studies but not in others. 1-5 allows that neutral answer. A 1-7 scale gives TWO levels between "disagree strongly" and neutral (or whatever the values are labeled). Do you need two? Will the participants consistently be able to differentiate between 2 and 3? Between 5 and 6?
maam pano po to gagawin if yung ggamitin na total ay yung total nang strongly agree, etc. po? yung ndi po ginagamit yung per respondent. yung nagiging per question po sya at per answer po \
I have 145 respondents... 6 of them answered neither(3), 36 of them answered agree(4), and 89 aswered strongly agree(5) , how do I find the average and range ? :( im confused
@@SarahSmurFK for example, strongly disagree, disagree are expected to carry lower scale on a scale of 1 to 5. While, strongly agree and agree would carry higher scale
Hello everyone i need to ask i am using a likert scale but as can i see in Likert-type scale no scoring so any one know how to measure data after gather ? No scoring in scale
Hi teacher, one of my panels asked me about this, 1.00 - 1.80 in strongly disagree then in disagree is 1.90 - 2. 60, so he's asking me if this my range then were this result will fall, the result is 1.87? So tinatanung nya po ako kung asan daw yung kulang sa range ko? Thank you in advence
Likert data is an ordinal data. I think you cannot convert it to a interval data. Can you please provide evidence from any standard text book that has converted an ordinal data to interval data? Please see that you cannot add two data points on a likert scale. For example, disagree + agree does not imply neutral data point.
Thank you, Ma'am! I hope you can still read this. Can I also use this method if my likert scale is 0-not at all, 1-A little bit, 2-moderately, 3-Quite a lot, and 4-Extremely?
