Before you say something, for the video I took all his toys out of the cage to make the fence more visible. But of course that they have toys and thing to play with. Besides that, once they were happy with each other they have more that one suspension cloth nest to sleep in.
We're breeders and this method has worked every single time in less than a week! I tell and share this video alot to others. Thanks alot for this info. We use tennax mesh instead of metal however but the concept is still the same
Hi I really love to see an owner of a glider such as urself care enough to do the right way of introducing your gliders to each other, forcing it would have been kinda cruel..so this way they have time to bond on there terms and thats a great experience for them..big hand to you and tnks for showing how your idea was done..I think many people can learn from this idea that you have showed them..again tnks very much and I have 4 gliders that I adore..and I see you feel the same about yours..cheers !!
Lisa Sipe Thanks for your nice comments. Right now I have 6 sugar gliders and I just love them. They have many things inside the cage to play. Many nest, laders, etc...
I'm gonna try this i have been trying, without success to intro 2 gliders with my other 2 gliders for prob 2 months now. The pair i had are females, that intro'd very easily and the newer ones r bonded to each other, came that way, they r very sweet whereas the girls r younger and still kinda shy. So i have 3 girls and the neutered boy. Problem is the boy and the youngest female of my 2 females. Will try to ball up, we get bit and they r then scared and the boy gets so upset he looks like he wants to attack.i dont know if that's cause he's mad cause they don't seem to like him or what. When we've had them in tent, when they meet they'll fight, when we have then in n bathroom same and when we try to put together with us watching in cage that's when we really get bit. The girl bonded to him gets along fine with the 2 girls it's just Jerry and I'm afraid they're never gonna get along. So they can't bite or grab tails with the fence? Is it ok if i put girls all on one side and the boy on the other?
holy ... you put a lot of effort in the cage ... very nice ... most people who have posted videos like this ... their cages seem kind of small ... you did a good job constructing that :)
We adopted a 9 month old female glider and now we are getting a 9 month old male and female tomorrow. I prepared her cage in the same way you did with the malla electrosoldada and hope it will work out for the three of them. Thank you for your advice in the video. Saludos desde Murcia
I got a female glider and we tried putting her in the cage where our male glider stays just 3 days after we got her. They fought and I was so worried. So we put the female glider back in her quarantine cage.
What kind of cage is that I'm doing research on suggies and that looks like a awesome one! Refuse to buy from pocket pets from those reviews and have yet to buy my own
I really need help. I have a four month old sugar glider I got her a week ago from a friend. Yesterday I went back and got a 5 year old mother and her 1-2 month old baby. I tried to integrate them again because that mother is also the mother of my 4 month old but the mother keeps attacking the 4 month old. I ended up putting her in a cat carrier within the big cage to stop the biting but every time my 4 month old gets too close to the carrier the mother loses it and bites her again. Is this something I just have to wait out because she has a baby and it's normal or is there a way to fix this?
courtney brown , no for the moment it's not. They have already had 1 joey and right now they have just had another 2. So I might take him to the vet to do it. I don't know if I should do it or not...
I'm currently doing this with my two adult females with my female joey. tonight they are extremely quiet . but it is also there first time together. did your gliders do the same?
+paper14clip I think that at the end, it was much faster than that. Maybe just a month or less. I didn't know when was the time, but I tried and it worked just perfect.
sadly this guy does NOT know how to introduce gliders, plz do a web search and get PROPER instructions so as he say "they keep fighting" and one ends up dead.
byk_ Chainsaw are you insane? All of my sugar gliders are alive. And by the way, after the introduction they have plenty of toys in the cage, to play with. And all of them live together and happy with each other.
Greg p. This method is perfectly suitable. Some others do suggest a separate cage side by side, but this is fine too. They can socialize and get to know each other while still being separate .something tells me you don’t even own a sugar glider...
