Well thank you for taking a moment to make a comment. I am thrilled to hear it. I know how hard it is in the beginning so I am glad to hear that my videos have helped some!

Im so glad for this video. I got a dental receptionist job and was told that I will be trained. I had to make appointments and they keep telling me terms that I have no idea of and expect me to know. I just started and worked alone on Saturday and oh how suffering it was. Even the medical assistants are not even friendly, makes me want to quit. But I'm glad I got to learn online instead. This helped me so much more than the team I work with

Hi Laura! I’m so glad I found your videos ! Today was my 3rd day as receptionist and yes I feel overwhelmed, but trying my best to take notes and review some material at home. I wish that was a video showing the DSN software so I could review it at home. Thank you for taking time to make these videos !

Hi Laura, I agree with alot of these comments wishing there were more understanding people like you. I just started working in a dentist's office a week ago as a Dental Receptionist with zero experience. It is so overwhelming. Training is very poor. They keep telling me it will take time to learn. They are jumping me all over the place from answering the phone to checking in patients to scheduling all of which again I have no experience in. I want to learn and be successful but also feel like quitting at the same time. Any suggestions on how to approach employer about my concerns and are there online training courses for learning how to do the job? Thank you.

Hi Laura, I wish everyone was more like you, I'm currently working in a dental office where they know I have no prior experience and they're expecting me to know everything with almost no training. I feel they reprimand me when I dont do something correctly. I watch your videos but its like you said every office is different. What would you recommend I do?

ThePinupbeat I’m glad that you’re Liking the videos. It sounds like you’re in a tough spot and I suggest that open communication is the best solution. I would recommend that you sit down with your manager or doctor and ask their expectations of you. Let them know what you need in order to do better in your job. Communication is always the best option. Good luck

I have never experienced any dental office jobs. however i’ve had 5 months seniors home receptionist and in april 2024 i will start my dental office administration online course. I’ve got a dental receptionist interview in march 2024. They knew I dont have a dental experience background yet they called me for an interview and gave me a chance to prove myself. I really want get hired. that’s why I am studying about dental office and terminology everyday. How can I ace my interview and get hired?

Just a suggestion. We don't "talk" English, or dental terminology, we speak it.
