Michael Burkey of Michigan Dog Training gives tips on how to introduce 2 dogs to each other (Simba the Belgian Malinois and Hunter the German Shorthair Pointer) who haven't previously met nose to nose. He also explains stress behavior signs given by Simba such as tongue flicking and avoidance behavior by going around the other handler. He also explains what a wagging tail really means; arousal and not necessarily always friendly behavior.
The main stress behaviors are narrated in the video for easy watching by the viewer. However, there are other stress behaviors happening such as both dogs' muscles going stiff, Simba's ears going fully erect, displacement sniffing so as not to pay attention to Hunter and Simba's eyes going wide and giving off a hard appearance when they the dogs go stiff.
Please seek out the assistance from a professional dog trainer when introducing your dog to another dog.
