Very hard to find funds that Don't include unethical companies.... without buying individual stocks. VEGN is a good one to start. And many others are food related. A lot of ESG funds are BS! Coke, PepsiCo, ExxonMobil should not be in any of the ESG funds. Make sure to look at the holdings before investing! I hope someone makes a video of sustainable+ethical funds to invest in.

@J.P. Have you found some sustainable ETFs so far? All the ESG and SRI ETFs are not nearly sustainable in my eyes. I work in a company for a year now and rating the sustainability of company's is part of my job. This summer I startet investing actively and when I got into ETFs - I am still disappointed.

I definitely think it’s a topic not discussed often enough in the zero waste community. From what you’re describing, you’re investing in ETF/index funds rather than individual companies right? If it’s not too personal of a question: Do you invest monthly? How do you decide how much of your income to invest, is it a fixed amount or a fixed percentage (as I assume your income isn’t the same each month)? Does Denmark have any tax benefits for investing in (certain) green companies/stocks? Once again, thank you for making this video and the video on sustainable banking!
Hi, a danish newbie investor here. As far as I know, there is no tax benefits for investing green here. A little ekstra advice for you or others: Something a lot of people have told me is that you should only invest money that you can afford to lose (not that you will lose it of course, but in principle). How big a part of your income that is is up to you.

I'm from the Netherlands, where some green initiatives are "rewarded" with tax benefits so I was curious if that was the case in Denmark as well. Of course you should never invest more money than you're willing to lose, that's a very important point! I would like to add that it is always necessary to have some savings as a cushion in case of emergencies (and like you said, the amount is personal).
@@OhSoSiriusly It could very well be that some green investments are rewarded. In my very limited buying of fonds, I haven't come across that yet however. I hope another Dane can confirm this

I have started investing and learning a bit but this is still nice new interesting information! 😀 I am also pretty curious and would look every month what my money is doing, haha; I invest a fixed amount each month for several years to come and looking each month is too often it seems especially because I don't manage it myself. I am at a green bank and they offer (amongst others) an investment program which is kind of a mixture of types two and three from the video. Through that I invest in funds and shares of different industries that this bank approves of acccording to their ecological and ethical standards; and they are transparent about their activities and investments etc.. I find that quite convenient so far; it's my first investment experience and it was pretty easy to set up. And I already trust my bank with their choices regarding their sustainability engagement (I wouldn't be there otherwise).
What’s your view on investing in S&P 500? It was my first stock investment but I’ve recently withdrawn due to fossil fuel companies etc. and overall lack of sustainable businesses
Hello Gittemary, have you thought of ETFs based on carbon permits? Like KRBN, GRN, KCCA, or KEUA? I heard that the more the price of those carbon permits goes up, the more the companies are pressured to be environmentally conscious. Which is what, for example, the EU wants. Also, the EU will be probably pushing environmental policies even more in the future, they might limit the amount of allowed carbon permits even more. So technically, it might be a good idea to invest in such ETFs. What is your opinion on them?

Not sure if you've come across this answer yet, but the share depends on the company and when you buy it. Having said that, many investment firms and banks allow you to purchase partial shares, so you don't have to have the full amount of a share up front. I.e. if a share costs $1000, you could purchase a partial for $100, so something like that. It just depends on the company stock you're buying. So you can start investing with any amount of money if you look for the right investment options.
