Akshat, your advice is very informative and gives lot of confidence to beginners. I have been a follower of your channel from a long time. can you talk about, how worth/good is it to do SIPs in individual stocks (Growth/defensive) over a long term, on comparing with mutual funds, since some people may not afford to do a lumpsum investment.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

Great Video! We saved 50-70% of our income for many years and invested all in Equity Index Funds and Individual stocks whether the market is up or down! We kept 3 months of living expense in the bank account.

My uncle one day told me that how he feels after nearly 25years of government service. Now according to him it was a mistake to leave good paying private job for a secure government job. Almost every friend of him is earning nearly 2 time greater with huge potential growth in future due to experience in the industry. (Govt provide fixed 5-6% increment only, with literally no option of promotion based of capability).Though he got OPS a financial safety after retirement but for new government job aspirants their is no provision of that type pension in government job. So I just want to advise all juniors with good skill levels, not to waste their crucial years just to prepare for government job. Grow yourself with top class skillsets, earn lot of money and do politics(only for those who wants to join government job to feel the power, remember nothing is more powerful than a politician in a democratic country like India).

Uncle ko bolna Aaj agar unka beta ko Govt (Group A) service mile aur 20 lakh ka package mile toh woh khud apne bete se kya karwayenge... Give a practical and honest answer... Just not in sake of your logic. The term "Secure Job" holds 10 times more weightage than a comparative higher package in private industry. It doesn't matter how cool we sound by saying skill, skill badhao all these things hardly works, once you get a good job. (I am not regressive but this is the honest thing most of the places).

Hi Akshat, Have been investing in MFs since 10 years in equity linked different ICICI and Axis bluechips Last 1 month onwards fallowing your RU-vid videos and realized to invest in Index mutual funds to minimise losses in Exit load Already from Nov onwards SIP doing in Index MFs Have been doing SIP in ELSS scheme of Axis Longterm equity fund. Now it’s showing returns of >30%. Can I continue this fund or increase SIPs in Index funds only

My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.

People are often hit by layoffs in recessions. No job means no salary and no investing. Invested sum in markets is also taken out at a loss to cover for daily expenses. No one ever considers these factors while investing.
