Thank you! You are the only one who's solved my problem(Jacking the car up using the vehicle jackpoints and placing jackstands)I now know i can use the front/rear vehicle jackpoints and place jackstands on the side i need to work on.🙏
How about driving the front onto ramps, then jacking the back up in the middle and placing a stand on each rear? Wouldn’t this work to get all 4 elevated and access to the rear?
I've just bought the same stands and there're several things mentioned in the manual like: - DO NOT use four axle stands on one vehicle - DO NOT lift one end of a vehicle if the other end already rests on an axle stand - DO NOT work under lifted vehicles - etc... Is that just some kind of legal BS?..
I personally don't trust axle stands so I use a ramp when I need to under the car. For the times I need the wheels off then I use axle stands but don't go under the car.
It is just legal BS, but you should always use a back-up, even if it's just putting a cinder block or tire/wheel under the lowest part. This way if it does fall off, it won't kill you, even if you're pinned.
instead of buying 2 car jacks, one low profile and one normal, can I just get only the low profile and use 2x4 wood when I want to work on normal height cars, is this commonly practiced or it's not safe.
I have a accord 94 same position to your car where the jack stand holds. Is ist safe to have a jack stand over a year? Hoping for your response thanks.
Yesterday my car fell off the stands and I am trying to find a jacking plate, so don't just use a jack and stands if you are working in grass, soft dirt, or deep gravel.
not clear! need to show broader perspective then show the detail. If I walked you into a jungle and show you a tree, it would be hard for you to understand where that tree fits in that jungle. Reinforced front part of the chassis? where is that in relation to the jack point?
As Neil clearly indicated, go to your factory manual and look up the areas that are appropriate to your vehicle to lift the vehicle and place the stands. Your ineptitude is not license to be obnoxious especially to a guy that has, in my opinion, the best videos of this sort on RU-vid.
thats an ignorant approach to jacking up just the front end. instead of raising each side independently, lift the front of the vehicle and place both jack stands on each side
