Sarah's understanding of skating is surpassed only by her ability to explain it. She is a joy to watch and we are all blessed to have her as an instructor.
I have watched so many no comply 180 videos, and this is the only one that addressed what has so confounded me. Glad I found this one! Thanks, Sarah. I longboard, but this applies equally I'm sure.
@@SarahParkMatott Sarah, it felt wonderful to re-learn this trick after almost 29 years. Your tip helped me a lot. I just posted a short ten-second long video where I make one.
This is the trick of the month. I spent four weeks on the shuv it mixing Ollie’s in. I’m going to spend four mastering this trick. I’m hoping to master 12 tricks in one year. I’ll update in four weeks lol.
Thank you @sarahpark-matott, are you planning a rock-to-fakie tutorial soon? I'm working on this next, I managed to get the coping drop-in with your help! I really love the way you break em all down, you are big inspiration, motivation, and great communicator! Keep em coming!
Thank you Michael! I'm glad that you got the drop in! I wish I was able to do rock to fakie myself! Unfortunately, there isn't much transition where I am now. The ground is so rough at my local park that I haven't been able to get enough speed to get rock to fakie here yet. But, when I get the chance, I'll definitely be making one! Thanks again! Really glad you've been enjoying the videos!💪Keep shredding!
Yoooo I love how you have practice steps, versus just being like “pop slide flip catch done”. This made something click in my mind, I’m gonna practice these tmrw and will report back!!!
She does it again!!! Thanks Sarah, I’m 28 and I picked up my skateboard 3 weeks ago and thanks to your thoughtful videos I’m starting to see so much improvement! The no comply 180 has been a hard trick to crack, can’t wait to get out there and practice
Hey! That's awesome. I'm so glad to hear that. The no comply, while a really satisfying trick, looks deceptively "easy." It really is a tough one. So, I'm excited for you to get out there and get it too 💪
Thanks for this. I really enjoy your videos and I actually had the opposite problem on this trick (couldn't pop at all and just sliding on tail). It helped me to learn first that trick you do where you pop it to your front hand then swing it back to caveman back on. Now I'm so close to nailing it.
Oh! That's awesome! I'm really glad that practice step helped you out 💪 I bet that getting that pop and combining it with this technique to really get it controlled will set you up nicely! I'm excited for you to get it.
Wow these are really great 'jumping drills'! I didn't pay attention how to jump off a no comply, but I saw this linked in your other tutorial and now I am happy that I watched it before attempting this trick!! Thank you so much Sarah!
Glad you got to see it before starting! It's definitely a huge help to work on in the beginning, being one of the trickiest parts of the trick! 💪 Thank you!
so good. this is what I suspected to be true of FS 180 No Complys but I have not heard it stated this way. thanks for the great content Sarah. now I gotta go out and practice this.
Thank you! Yes, I had to work through it myself to get to this point since it wasn't exactly how most people explain the trick. But, it definitely was one of the keys for me getting this trick 💪 I'm sure you got it too!
Nice video Sarah. I have already watched your other video on the steps to learn for a good no-comply but this compliments it perfectly. I always seem to get "too gooda" pop, it just takes off, maybe I should re learn the steps in this video for greater control. Keep shredding and keep progressing. You always seem to time the exact video I need at the right time, as I am starting to learn a trick 👌💯🔥🔥.
Yes!💪 I am stoked to hear that and that the timing has been good. I would totally recommend these steps just for that extra control (and the ability to tone down that pop strength😂). You got it though!
Hi! Sarah here. 🙋♀️ Before watching this video, I recommend checking out my no comply 180 tutorial here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-waA2BEfWf0Y.html This video is not a full tutorial. It’s a supplement to the original tutorial. It merely explains how to hop off the board without snapping your tail too hard on the ground. As far as, foot placement, foot angle when hoping off, shoulders etc-basically all that good stuff is in the original tutorial!
Yeah every now and then I attempt this trick and screw it up hopefully this helps I moved onto other things but I think I will try again something about it just doesn't add up/comply
@@SarahParkMatott yeah getting there it's anoying because I can kick round better with the foot that's normaly at the front so am having to learn to pop it with my other foot I am half left handed/and half right so sometimes its less comfortable to do things so gotta switch things up which I can learn just take a bit of practice being ambidextrous doesn't make things easier for me because anyways use random foot/hand so gets confusing great video thanks
@Saimonologie Yeah, that's really common. I think it's especially easy because it's typically called "stepping off" or "sliding your foot off." But, I knew right away when learning it that something was just not working when I thought about it like that. So, I figured out to do it this way and it just works so much better. Tricks are always done a little differently, but this way works well in my experience 😃💪 Hope it helps you too!
I've been stuck on these for a little while now. Either I pop the board before I can get my foot off, or I have to move my foot to the tail after I step off which looks awkward. I'll try your method though it looks like it might help a lot!
Thanks for the nice tutorials , very well detailed and well explained with many footages. I am trying to learn this trick I believe your lesson will be very helpful
