Ohhh my god I cannot thank you enough... "try to kick your butt" has literally just made this click in my brain! Deffo trying jumping like this out tomorrow now 💜 Love your content, you and Shove are actual idols 🤩😘👑
This video helped me! I went to skate yesterday evening and I decided every time I need to hop over things to say Glitter Pony just as I do it. It interrupted my mental block and I was able to hop up the curb and hop down onto the driveway! 😁Now...is there a fun name for the two-footed hop?🤔 Thank you, Rebel and Shove! 🥰
the 'kick your butt' tip blew my mind and improved my jumps so much😍😍 i thought its just like jumping shoes and my jumps looked exactly like the way it was for the straight up jump!😂 watched so many tutorials but this one actually clicked! thanks so much for this tip!!❤❤❤
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I'm on my 318/365 day of skate and jumps are such a mindblock for me. I tried and I tried, and every time there's an obstacle, I simply can't jump over it... Until today. I followed your explanations and I am starting to jump! Especially the staggered position made such a difference! I can't express how grateful I am, keep the good job and positive energy, you are amazing! 💪🥰🧡
thank you for all of the positive energy!! this tutorial was literally so helpful and i can’t wait to try out some new jumps at the skatepark! i do have a question though, i am looking for some new skates, and i am VERY torn between the lollies and the jacks. for beginner/intermediate park skating, which on would you recommend? sending love!
this was really helpful. i couldn’t understand before why it felt like i was landing so hard on my skates after two footed jumps. now i see i was picking up my feet the wrong way
The kick the butt technique helps jumping make so much sense now, my jumps weren’t getting higher and always wondered why! also one thing that is never talked about is the way girls with larger chests have to maneuver around learning tricks, even with a sports bra on I feel like there is an insane amount of weight on my chest making me lean way too forward more than I should 😭 I’ve learned to get used to it but I have to work harder
I busted my ass HARD a couple of nights ago practicing jumps. I think I bruised my tailbone :( But I am finally getting it...the reason I fell was because I tried with some speed (I think I got to cocky to quickly lol) Thank you for these tips because jumps/180s are my next thing to master!
Thank you for always putting the human element in your tutorials! You see all these badass chicks at the park who breeze through jumping, but it's reassuring to know that it's normal to be intimidated and to push through. Now I'm ready to kick my own butt!!
I prob should have watched this yesterday BEFORE I tried to jump over a speed bump, ate sh*t and broke my left ring finger 😂 thank goodness I had wrist guards on!🖤
Help! at 6:50 - 6:53 you do a stop where you turn quickly after having picked up good speed. I am struggling to use this single stopper stopping technique as well as the 2 stoppers stop when I am at a medium-fast to fast speed. When I am skating really fast and want to stop, I can cant get around with enough speed or force to not wobble over and crash. I can't imagine building up speed to hop over something big and to not confidently be able to hop around to stop. What tips do you have for this? Is it more like doing a transition, a pivot, or a 180 hop? Is using arms to twist for momentum an important component? :) Can you do a video?? :)
This is my first time seeing your video, and I click the subscribed button already because I love it , i love your vibes and everything hahaha thankyou, Im dealing with my fear of jump higher , I started skate about 5 days ago, and I'm too scared to jump higher :")
Hi Rebel and Shove, I love watching your videos, especially your how-to skate vids. I would love to know what toe stops you have on in this video? They look like bigfoot, and I kinda want them! Haha
I'm learning on the impalas but I find that I'm commonly (especially when jumping) obstructed by my toe stops. Any tips without having too replace my toe stops?
even though i am against lgbtq. but, you earned my respect as a positive people with positive community.. you go girl! i learned to be confident about myself to try rollerskates from watching you and your partner video...
