Big fan of Meguiars UK channel. A great showcase for how to get the most from Meguiars products. These vids are instructional and entertaining. Watching these vehicles come to life by the end of the process is satisfying to the max - auto detailing nirvana.
and as the camera stopped rolling, Dale shed a tear of pride onto the freshly detailed paint work, but it's ok, it didn't leave a water mark, it beaded right off,
Great video as always, now iv got buy some new products, got a pearl nismo juke, tryed the snow foam for the first time this week and works great, before that I used the stuff that came in a small bag, when are the big bags back I need one lol
Nice video, but considering this car is a motorway mile muncher, those inner arches will by filthy (as well as the underside). Do you not incorporate cleaning these bits into the process? People focus a lot on protecting the bodywork, but often neglect the lesser seen parts of the car. I will stress that I'm not a detailer, but do like a clean car - inside, out, and underneath.
Great video, but surprised at seeing you wearing a ring whilst cleaning your car. The first thing i do it take my ring and watch off and make sure my belt buckle is covered and zip pulls are out of the way. There is nothing worse than hearing the noise of metal on your paintwork. It will probably never matter, but mistake do happen.
This was awesome. Can you please shove a supercharged S65 in the E91. Throw on some E88’s and add bring it to Schirmer engineering for some suspension and alignment work?
When u going to do the car interior because I would love to see a video on that and do you have anything that you can spray or wipe to kill germs because I can’t find anything to do it
We don't offer a specific wheel sealant however a fantastic product is Fast Finish. It doesn't need buffing away and doesn't leave a finish so is safe on matte and satin finishes but offers long lasting protection.
Immediately after painting it will need to air out for the next 3-4 months. During this period you should just maintain it but not wax it in order for the paint to breath. After this period you can then wax.
Hi! I just bought Meguiar’s clay set, striping shampoo, 3 in 1 wax and ceramic spray wax. I will do it for the first time by hand, no garage and my question is can I clay and wax a sunroof as well? Thanks
Since you can afford a lot of chemical for your car. Would it be easy to buy 5 to 10 wash mitt. No need to do 2 bucket method. 1 use then put aside then get a new 1. That way you have higher chance that theres no dirt in the wash mitt that you might not remove using 2 bucket method. But make sure to inspect all your wash mitt before using them.
Is it possible Wash Plus could create scratches because of the abrasives? I have the feeling it does to my black car everytime I use it to strip wax of. Great product, just wondering about this? :/
Good question. Like using a normal shampoo you rinse the panel first to remove any heavy bonded contaminants. Then using a deep pile wash mitt coupled with a grit guard you should be able to massively reduce the risk of any scratching.
How can the Multi Purpose Cleaner be strong enough to clean heavily contaminated body work but gentle enough to be used on interior parts and plastics?
Just bought some wash plus. Sorry to hear its being discontinued, I think the product is too expensive and too big a bottle. Even if you half the bottle size and sold it for a £6 it would be a more worthwhile buy as you are unlikely to decon more than once or twice a year. If it turns out well when I use it I will try and get another bottle.
I'm in the same situation. I use the 2 bucket method with double grit guards, and just chuck jugs of water over the car from my big meguiars bucket. Works fine for me. Don't think I'd fancy using a jet wash on my mx5 as it seems a little leaky in places already.
Could I use ultimate compound first to remove those deep scracthes followed up by the 3-1 or do you reccommend I use - ultimate compound -> ultimate polish -> ultimate liquid wax. The car has not seen a swirl correction since it's birth in 97 lol.
how is it that when i snow foam my car it comes off really quickly, like you can see the underneath before i get to the other side of the car? but when i see others doing it, it stays on a lot longer?
The heavy duty Multi Purpose Cleaner is a more advanced formula then the All Purpose Cleaner. And it's safe to use on multiple surfaces such as paint or plastic trim interiors.
Best bet is to leave it to dwell for a couple of minutes. However it does depend on weather conditions. You would not leave it on for long in sunny and warm conditions, as this could cause chemical etching. On the flip side, in conditions like this video, you will be able to leave it on for longer as the risk of it drying are significantly lower. Not only that, it depends on vehicle condition too. Whether the paint is heavily soiled or less so. These are all factors you take into consideration, and through practice you will get a feel for it. Try it out and see what works for you.
I’m disappointed in these products,iv tried the 3in1 the ultimate compound using the meguires red cutting pad and it don’t get rid of swirl marks,my mate who own a massive scrap yard gives me panels to practice on and it’s just not happening for me,yet i used menzerna 400 and it got rid of swirl marks and any other marks straight away,so what am i doing wrong with the ultimate compound? Love the rest of the products, heavy duty multi purpose cleaner is grate, plus many more, wash + and the other wash n polish (forgot the name lol) it’s just the ultimate compound i don’t get on with
For more information on this product and to help us understand the issue you are having you can contact the office directly and speak to one of our technical team directly. www.meguiars.co.uk/contact-us/
The only pads we suggest to prime are our Microfibre system. With products like ultimate compound, polish and wax you don't have to because of the lubricants built in to them.
@@meguiarsuk that's odd, it was watching this channel that I learned about the need to prime foam pads before using a polish/compound. It's a great tip that I've followed with great results.
Some of these products are overkill and not needed. I get they are trying to sell their product but I have a 15 year old car and the paint looks brand new with a fraction of the products here.
Nice video as always. A lot learned, a lot used and helped a lot. Would love to polish my car, but cannot afford dapolisher 😏 with hand is a nightmare to do, so long and never the close results as with da 😐 You May have some spear so You can donate to me? 😇
Cool video but you got to speak slower because it is difficult to understand. English ist not my mother language and it was sometimes tricky to keep up with your speed. :)
Unlike a traditional shampoo Wash Plus is designed to be applied to the mitt directly. We suggest doing one panel at a time to reduce any contamination being transferred from one panel to another. However using 2 buckets will also greatly help reduce this.
Totally agree! I'd be put off if I didn't know better. If the car has been sealed then BH Surfex at 6 or 7% leaving it dwell for 5 minutes and a power washer is all you need. Finish it off with BSD as drying aid everywhere including wheel, plus 2 or 3 MF towels and the car will look awesome. I do this twice a week on my daily driver (1K miles/month). Takes 20 minutes. Bonus: you will extend the life of the sealant (Fusso Coat in my case) and reduce marring by not doing a contact wash every time!
Can't believe how much product gets used on wheels apc and then the shampoo!! Lol. Must last around 2 or 3 car washes. Not very cost effective to say the least!!!! Sure it's good stuff but boy do you pay for it.
