Honestly it's better talking to them face to face. Get a friend and have your friend and you sit next to your crush and their friends. Sit at least a 5 feet away from your crush. Lol I used to tease my crush a little and then talk about casual stuff. Not that hard. What's hard is talking using technology.

It's kind of difficult for me to come up with openers that are different from how did your day go. What if I text something like "if it's alright with you there has been something on my mind for a while that I would like to ask you about". I like the comparison of too many compliments being like too many spices, I actually tried that with a girl once, sadly the conversation went nowhere, great video!

Thats a problem i have with the girls, keeping a text conversation, i get bored quickly as girls never text anything interesting so i end up giving up and stop answering them.
I would say I agree with Ethan on this, when it comes to texting you have a higher chance of that person responding if they feel like they have a deeper connection with you. In some cases, it's better to talk to them in person because you can develop that deeper connection and then lead it back to texting.
I think calling could be great if you feel like you have that level of connection with the person. I talked about calling if the person doesn't respond to text in an earlier video this week and I've done a video in the past about how to call your crush
That's a really good question, I would say the best thing to do is maybe two have the girl introduce you to her dad. That way you can show him that you are respectful guy and in meeting him show him that you're interested in his daughter. I would spread those interactions out across maybe two or even three interactions, you may even want to FaceTime with her and then have her bring her dad on so that you can just say hello just to continue building that relationship with him building up to you asking her out and asking him for his permission.

I feel like since we have this society with pop culture that gives us a sense of what is CLICHE. This makes it hard to ask the questions you suggest for us. They are GREAT questions but any given person will be skeptical when you ask them because they have that knowledge of what is cliche or cheesy. The questions you suggest are straight to the point and it’s a shame it’s difficult to ask them IMO.
i think it’s more leaning towards sharing stories that reveal more about the individual. That way it reveals it in a matter that isn’t so too “aggressive”.

If you're first getting to know them, talk in person. As you two warm up, get their number, Insta, Snapchat, etc. and them transition into texting. As you get comfortable texting, start making plans to hang out in person.
The thing holding me back from meeting them in person is that she is from a different country and speaks a different language to me. We only text through translation

Okay, so after some self searching. Today I realized, I want to talk to you, I wamt to get to know you. But I dont know myself, I don't have interests, so how can I bring things up that are not about my own self pity? It gets hard honestly. Like I realized I can't even text guy friends, and usually when I am texting a lot its about me and problems. But after some thinking, I realized I'm pretty good at making conversations from nothing. I keep my conversations open to where they can shoot the shot and ask something but I'm always the one texting them. So after a while you realize a lot of people don't want you around. They are too good or something in their own little world.
