Just for anyone looking for info on purple shampoos... shimmer lights is literally one of the worst purple shampoos lol. It’s not only drying, but it’s not even close to being the most toning. Fanolas no yellow shampoo is amazing, I also suggest the perfect blonde line by pravanna and the bust your brass line by amika!

I was a Matrix So Silver loyalist for 10 years. I tried others, except Shimmer Lights (heard it was drying), but nothing was as gentle and as effective at toning for years. I tried Shimmer Lighta from a friend a year ago and it was definitely the best at toning I had tried, and wasn’t as drying as people had made me think. I thought this till I tried Redken’s new purple shampoo with keratin. The gentlest ever, and so pigmented it leaves my hair practically purple/ash in the best way. And our hair routines are practically identical! Including the Kerastase masques.

My hair is naturally white but has a small patch of dark hair so I do use a platinum product to make it all evenly white, so I do have some porous parts that do go a bit yellowish... My hair is waist-length, so over the years it has been processed many times. I am definitely going to try the purple shampoo... Thanks for your video

Avyna purple shampoo is by far the best it doesn’t dry your hair like shimmer lights does but it does the job it stains my hands and nails so I use gloves but I have to use less and leave it on Less than shimmer lights it’s bomb diggity and smells so good

Try reconstructing products for overprocessed hair , normal products dont work on platinum when i first bleached my hair platinum omg it was breaking off so much and i bought tigi elastic shampoo and conditioner and it saved my hair now its growing and not breaking

Have you ever had facial breakouts from these hair products? I have sensitive skin and probably can’t use any of the stuff you mention in this video. Anything I use on my scalp will transfer to the face via natural daily oil and sebum distribution. I’m checking the shimmer lights ingredients since it obviously does such a good job, your hair looks great. Thanks for sharing your routine.

I think it does depend how light your hair will go depending on how healthy it is. I reached my hair for the very first time a couple of days ago as I wanted to get rid of my red hair dye. My hairdresser thought it would take us four attempts but with the first attempt literally 80% of the red was gone. I was very lucky also it only took us five and a bit hours to go from read the platinum blonde and red is the most difficult colour to remove. Going back next month to get one more session done and I should have 100% platinum blonde

My sister in Ca. She is awesome hairstylist she cant beleive theses hair stylist dont know how to cut or color. I pay on average 180 to get hair done and never happy with it.stil on my search for amazing stylist. They always want to put me under dryer with foolis in and rinse my hair with hot water. I have to tell them to use cool. They also dry my hair with burning hot heat it urks me so much. I think to myself, Like dont they learn this in hair school that hot leaves cuticles open? And it always brassy. I tell them over and over i dont want it brassy so then tell them to tone it. I feel like i know more about hair than most of the ones ive been to. Uggggggh so fustrating. Were is my perfect hair stylist? The search continues.

Shimmer Lights is OVERRATED. Joico purple shampoo & conditioner is hands down wayyyyy better, and to dilute it in joico's brightening blonde shampoo is even better to avoid any silver or purple tones.
