Hello! Back again for another upload. This video is a follow up to my last video titled "What Happens When You Take a Year Off From Cubing?". In that video I noticed that many of you were in the same position I was. That position is coming back to cubing after taking off an extended period of time. In this video we explore how to get back into cubing and how to keep it fun. The structure of follows points as I give helpful tips for getting started again and keeping interested. Enjoy!

i might take a week off cubing because my hands are starting to feel sore from all the practice! im trying to improve on f2l right now and im starting to get better but still not as fast as i used to be so i'll see if a break of rest will help!

Same, i feel like cubing kinda makes me antisocial (ironically, cubing should make you more social but there are barely any comps in my country), i should get with my friends more

Not Sandhorst School yeah I’ve been learning 2 look oll and 2 look pll and my solves are making my hands tired, rn my personal best is 32.67 seconds

@@joe-cm4lz i suggest learning some easier plls, like the j perm, t perm, z or h perm, and y perm. Those i find easy to recognise and it helped me a lot

I FINALLY have a competition coming up in my hometown in March. The last competition I went to was this same one exactly one year ago. I got back into cubing a bit ago and I’m having a lot more fun with it. Part of that might be because I finally took the time to work on F2L, and so now I’m SO CLOSE to the sub-20 barrier. Last night I had like 4-5 sub 20 averages, the rest being between 20-22

Don’t forget about wca events that use 3x3 but aren’t really “speedsolving” oriented in the way NxN puzzles are and the side events are. Referring to blind and FMC :)

I am cubing every day for few hours since i started cubing 3 years ago and im not bored at all, i think i wont quit cubing for 5/10 years, i just love solving it and getting faster and faster and going to competitions :)

@@zbigniewdelikowski982 u need 3 years to do that I imagined 1 or 2 years. I'm sub 15 in 6 months I guess the rate of progress slows down as u get faster,sad

@@tbagger u can be even sub 7 in 1 year, it really depends on how you practise, and one person is improving faster, another one slower.

You Are Exactly Right... I have a Big Variety of Puzzles. I never get Bored... I have all the different skewbs... I have almost every gear puzxle....And Many Shape Mods.... Thanks for sharing those Tips Epic Cuber....

One of the best exercises I do now with 3x3 is try 7-look full cube. What I mean by this is scramble, look, close eyes and follow the step you are at. I find this helpful and fun to try and improve my lookahead and my cross/c+1

I had quited cubing for like 2 years. Then I saw a mastermorphix on a holiday and decided to buy it for fun during the holiday (I already had one and a big cube collection). It brought me back into cubing! And now 2 years later I am still in the game 😉

I made my cubing experiance more interesting by going colour neutral, I use to be a white cross solver and got bored but the change to colour neutral was difficult but it was new which kept me to keep cubing. I averaged 11 secs on white when I switched now Im sub 20 on all colours.

I started with a 2x2, is the 2x2 hae similar strategies to solve as the 3x3?

Yes, the beginner 2x2 method is somewhat similar to beginner 3x3 method

Yeah! The 3x3 builds on many of the principles that are used in the 2x2. It is just a little more involved. If you start solving 3x3, leave another comment and let me know how it goes!
