Hello again. Thank you very much for your comment! Don't get discouraged, it's not always fast and easy! But if you really plan ahead, and focus on the task - it can be done (if you wish of course). In 2024 I'm actually planning to do a full guide on how to breed Ramirezi, because they seem to be problematic for a lot of people - now I have another reason to do it :) All the best and have a great New Year!

Thank you for your comment! You should definetally add some plants ;) Why you mention bleach? You are afraid of plant disinfection?

@AquascapingCube my understanding is that the only way to get rid of Parasites is to bleach the plants. I had 24 baby angelfish and lost all of them after putting plants in. I didn't know that I'd need to bleach before putting the plants into the tanks. I know now that I should bleach, but how do you get the bleach out for sure? Your plants look so beautiful and healthy 😍

@@reneesnugent3358 It's unlikely that plants would kill your fry. I was asking about bleach, because I'm planning video exactly about this topic ;) Yes, bleech will make them clean. But after, you need to rinse them and then soak for at least 24h in clean water. And to be sure use dechlorinator at the end.

It all depends on what you want to achieve. To follow the natural behaviour - leave them with parents and other fish, you might end up with 0 babies, but sometimes with 3 or 4 etc. This is how nature works, only the smartest, fastest will survive - and that is the point. To maximize numbers - take them away from parents already on day 2, and then survival rate is super high. I don't move ALL batches to the tubs, because I simply don't know what to do with them later. But I plan ahead, and if I know that I can give them away - I use the method from the video. I just do it because I love the process :) For me the worst approach with cichlids is to take the EGGS - this is how you kill the instinct.

Yes, absolutely. Just make sure that temperature doesn't drop or doesn't change to quickly in small container.

@@AquascapingCube oh sorry, I had a bit of an overstocked tank, but i convinced my parents I would be able to get a 16 gallon/ 1 meter long/ 3 foot tank if i was able to successfully breed and raise up fry to at least 3 weeks old. I currently have 6 white cloud mountain minnow in a semi planted 5 gallon/ 17 L tank. Recently (4 days ago), i discovered successful breeding behaviour after 2 weeks of feeding them the best food, conditioning them for breeding. I caught this on my 24/7 camera i mounted just to capture any mating behaviour. And yes i saw eggs. I had no expetion but to remove the java moss with the eggs but during the process, i can tell at least 90% of the eggs fell from the java moss. The reason i chose to remove the java moss and not the white clouds were bc i didnt have a cycled tank. But i knew fry have such tiny bioload, by the time they need a cycled tank, that container i put them in was already established. So i did that, plopped them in a 25 cm x 25 cm container and in just 4 hours i spotted life! (It was only 4 hours bc i let the eggs sit in the java moss in the main tank for like 36 hours before i removed it). So now i have 5 fry. By today (21/Jan), they are 2 and a half days old. Still not free swimming but i can tell it wont be long as their yolk sac has shrunken lots. I hope this project works bc the fish and me both really need that 16 gallon

@@WhiteCloudAffinity From what you are writing - I can already tell that you deserve your new tank! You can tell your parents ;) You did the right thing, and you really seem to care. Be prepared to feed them soon with some good food (super tiny fish food, boiled egg yolk, infusoria - but it should be on the moss right now) Good luck with your project! I think that group of 5-6 will be good. Of course depends also on the other fish you have there.

@AquascapingCube I don't have any other fish in that tank. I bought it only because my corys keep spawning and now I have 21 fry in a spare 5 gallon and nowhere to put them 😮‍💨
