Man, you're awesome. I come from Classical Guitar and want to learn E-Guitar now. This short tip was gold. But your year long course seems to be the shit, i'm so excited that i found that. I love the progressing approch on improvisation. Many many thanks to you! I really love it.

I always have a few easy songs, Beatles stones classic rock etc to learn, and lets face it, there's loads of classic standards you should know, and then a real toughie! Cavatina took 10 months, Bourne in e minor 18 it's a good way to balance your playing, Iam on the river is wide now, and a few Beatles and Lenny kravitz to keep it easy and the song list imcreasing

btw my actual project song is Tornado of souls and I'm almost done with it, without your simple but greatly important lesson i would have been so frustrated some months ago. Thanks again

i am not sure about the difference between ego and project songs, but i am in the middle of learning "ashes in your mouth" by megadeth. very difficult for me to imitate.

There are a lot of different levels within metalcore, speed/thrash, so it sort of depends on who you are trying to play. What are examples of your current ego songs vs. projects?
