I struggled for a decade to obtain constant humidity with a humidor. I finally switched to a Tupperware container with Bovedas. It's been eight months and I am pretty happy with it.

I started with glass weck jars when I didn't have a humidor, glass is odorless. Even though I already have a humidor I still use them, I pop different RH Boveda pack in each jar to experiment with different RH 65-69-72. Tupperware will also work as long as it's odorless and have a good seal.

Tupperware and bóvedas for those who don’t want a humidor and for those that love life in a si por way. I used a sodden humidor, some acrylic and still use Tupperware here and there whe I don’t have space.

I just got some cigarillos from Davidoff but I do not have a humidor nor do I have any of those humidifier packs. Is it safe to store the cigarillos for few days in just a lock & lock container in their original box? Or will the cigarillos go bad or will "beatles hatching" happen in few days of poor storing? And my room is pretty hot through out the day and pretty warm through out the night, which I'd assume is less than ideal for the cigarillos. I'm also in CA so it's pretty dry out here. I got these cigarillos unexpectedly as a gift and I really want to preserve them the best I can as I know that Davidoff is a premium cigar brand so the cigarillos are premium too. Thank you.

Find a cool dark place to store them... heat and direct sunlight is what to avoid. Keep them in an airtight container (make sure its odor free) if you can get a Boveda pack from a local cigar shop or order online and you should be good to go, no Boveda use the double baggy method... one zip lock to hold the cigars inside a bigger bag to hold a damp paper towel of distilled water inside the outer bag to create humidity.

Don’t go on any website and don’t buy anything. Just use a paper towel all the time. Better yet soak some cotton balls in bourbon instead of the wet paper towel.
