UPDATE: I've made the digital workspace organization video if you'd like to watch it here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UCTCeMna03k.html
As someone who’s been disorganized and messy my whole life this is amazing to me. I could never get close to this level of organization, but it is inspiring me to do a better job than I’m doing
Your lifestyle is literally my dream! As a teen freelance that can't afford my own space, I can't really do much with my family's house. But still i try to keep my best to make things clean in our home.
Hang in there Chris. You'll get your own place. Here's a fun idea. Visualize at what it will look like in the future. Before I got my Car, a Friend gave me a Cutout of a Car. I put it on My Dresser and I wrote myself a Note "Until I Get The Real Thing" and I did.
I think it’s crucial to have a clean work space because, more often than not, starting with a clean slate can really clear your mind. I personally find that when I have a minimal setup, I generally feel more productive!
The Husky tool carts, chests, workbenches are great. Stable, heavy duty, quality and aesthetically pleasing. I have a rolling cart by them & going to get a workbench for my standing desk.
For me, I can’t work in a messy environment. It makes me feel unmotivated to do anything. In a clean environment, I can focus more and work harder. Thanks for the tips ❤❤
Just here to say that Husky drawer is a beast! I’m amazed at how clean and well it fits into the setup! Kudos to the out of the box thinking with the room
Good video, as someone who was quite messy when younger I've been slowly getting neater and neater in my 30s. I've been actually trying to get to more of a minimalist mindset in theast few months as well. Make sure everything's as a spot is great advice for sure.
I agree with this, the only thing I would add is as you cook, the second you are done with a cooking implement/dish, you rinse it and either put it in the dishwasher or else wash it by hand, ive been building up the habit of having the sink full of soapy water to clean a dish with as soon as I am done utilizing it
Thank you, this is very helpful and practical. As a dj and visual artist with items from both camps in a small home office, I've got my work cut out, but your video is inspiring me to turn it around.
I agree 100%. If you need something quickly, you know exactly where it is. Also, If I was a potential client, I would way more have confidence in somebody that has a clean, organized space rather than someone who is messy and cluttered.
Hearing you speak inspired me to declutter some more. I'm not a Hoarder but I loved what you talked about in terms of keeping your Workstation Clean. It's a very smart thing to do and it's easier to find your stuff.
Hey bro loved the video, I’m a firefighter from Canada and I can tell that extension cables and powerbar fires are quite prevalent in North America, just some food for thought.🤘
Loved it!! While I was watching your video, I felt that my mind was organised and cleaned. It works from visually as well!! Now I'll declutter my stuff! Thank you for giving us motivation!
Excellent video! I found this as I was already in the middle of completely rearranging and better organizing my man-cave/computer room/home office, mainly for the reasons you eloquently described...An uncluttered mind and an uncluttered living space/lifestyle go hand in hand, so my space is getting a clean-up and minimalist revamp.
It actually works if every single item has a "home". It takes about 1-2 weeks to get it into a habit, but after that it becomes your second nature. That's how I did it. At first it was hard. I would read a book and leave it on the desk to go to the kitchen. Then I would go back, pick a book at put it where it should be. It wa a bit annoying. Then it got easier. Then it became natural. Great video.
Thank you. Especially for the tip about items having a specific home they go to. I'm moving in six months and I plan on keeping my place organized. I'm going to run a tight ship. This way I'll feel better about my life. 👍
@@edwardleefilms I have even seen peoples desktops full on documents or shortcuts, and that is something you see immediately when you turn your laptop on, But yeah I try to live a streamline life haha is what I call it and do a mass delete at end of year of what I no longer need eg.documents
thank you for the tips. if you don't find yourself using it, for about a few months or to a year, than you don't need it. so true! i might not be in the same line of work but i truely agree. my workspace in in WIP'
I love this video so much. As someone who's studied Minimalism for over 3 years now, I see you've hit all the points, and have presented everything in a great manner. The visuals were superb. I thank you and look forward to more content. Keep it up EL !!! -Farhaj (NJ)
So much great advice. Love to see more on your digital organization process. A tip I would around home office improvements is to create an overall plan for the layout and the larger pieces such as desks, storage, chairs/sofa. Then you can budget and work on the improvements overtime. Keep this kind of content coming!
@@edwardleefilms Did you know in the 1950's there was a Song by a Girlband called "Mr. Lee" by A Group called The Bobbettes. It was a One Hit Wonder but it's still so fun to listen to. It was about their Jr. High School Principal.
Love this video and totally agree that a cluttered mind can lead to a cluttered space which is why I've decided to tidy up my study room last year! I'd love to know how you organise your digital life too!
Hey man , thanks a lot, this video has been very helpful to mentally deal with clutter And being productive . Living in “Survival Mode “ is pure stress !
New sub! I pretty much watched all organizational and decluttering from other videos but this one is the level up, well-made video with best editing. A+ because this is coming from a man!
If you find an item where you feel you might use. Ask yourself how often. If it’s once a year or more, it might actually be worth the money to buy that item when you need it, rather than store it. Because for every 10 items you may use, 9 will never be used. That extra one, you will have to buy at some point but you’ve saved yourself years of reclutar from those 10 items. Worth it imo.
Damn the shots get cleaner and cleaner! Great stuff. I think I’ll attempt at kickstarting my own channel, and ur content is certainly something I look up to!
I'm new to this channel and I really do find your videos so helpful! I love keeping a clean and minimal workspace. I feel like I can never get things done in a cluttered space. It's extremely distracting lol
Thanks for sharing your perspective and tips! Really helpful when it came to decluttering my own space as a UX designer and content creator. Looking forward to more content!
I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciated this video😊 these were really great tips and what you said about how a space relates to a person was spot on for me. I dream of having a minimal space but haven't quite been able to achieve it... work in progress.
Would definitely like to see the time management and digital organization side of things. My wife and I Just broke ground on our new home and am already planning on purchasing the husky organizer you have for the office. Keep up the great work!
DISCLAIMER: It is super heavy. So keep that in mind if you need to bring it up a flight of stairs! You will need minimum 4 people to carry it up and enough clearance near your stairs! Just wanted to let you know!
Excellent video...Great tips on keeping your office space clean ..I so agree when your space is organised and clean it helps so much in your productivity... Blessings
GREAT video and message. A place for everything and everything in it's place. You have some really cool storage items, would be nice to have links. The bookshelf, magnetic key holder, etc.
Really enjoying your work. I would totally be done for a digital version as you mentioned. Your cable management vid changed my desk life. Keep up the awesome work. ✌🏾
