It certainly is a very difficult vehicle to detonate. The vehicle has lived up to its reputation as a survivable tank, often you’ll just knock out the crew before you even blow up the tank, I’ve seen more abandoned Abrams in a game than an abandoned T-72 mostly because they’ve all detonated.
Thats called nato bias For some dumb reason, developers believe that soviets armor are easy to pen which is godamn false (there are helll lot of vids where tanks are getting shot by rpgs into lfp/roof and easily survive it) but ingame, well...
@@dannyzero692 in this game, in warthunder (which developers seem to copy) the only actually armoured part of obt's is upper front plate, if ur using any IFV, or LAV you can most likely pen it into the lfp, which is like hell unrealistic. If ur in a tank, you oneshot it into lfp. Rpg-7 PG, If not shot into the era, ammo racks the tanks in the sides (or you can just make 2 shots and kill the tank). Yea, and people still believe that in battle, human could load shells faster than machine, especially on higher speeds.
You know when this showed up in my recommended feed I thought it'd be a video about how to take out an Abrams as a guerilla without conventional weaponry or something to that effect
If thats what you want to do your best option would be a mobility kill by disabling one or both of the abrams' tracks by using explosives. A good one you could use if you were a geurilla force would be the TM62 mine with a MVCh-62 fuze as the design of the mine allows for stacking allowing you to do much more damage and the fuze gives you a bit more arming delay and it is generally a good and accessable mine+fuze combo. Hope you learned something 😊
@@jdflasky1969 if thats the case its kinda tough luck. Mabe try and force them to drive through a house that has a basement. Shoving stuff down the barrel works too.
The problem with a completely unequipped civilian attacking an Abrams is that it usually isn’t sent in unsupported. Most Western countries won’t send in a single Abrams with at least a single platoon of infantry to cover it. Especially in a domestic situation. At that point it’s essentially impossible to take out unless you’re using drones and some powerful IED’s.
@@papawryx I actually use airdrop feature of BMD to kill SepV3 Abrams from the back as I destroy the ammunition blow-out door, pretty fun to do so honestly. (Tier 1 vs Tier 5 😆.)
