Learn how to kill weeds in a centipede lawn without killing the grass. I show you two weed control products called Certainty and Change Up. I combine those in and spray a patch of centipede grass covered in weeds such as white clover, field madder, dichondra, dallisgrass, and others. Then, I come back to show the results in the video compared with an area of the lawn that has not been sprayed. I hope you pick up some good lawn care tips from the video. Very helpful. I moved into a newer home in Dec so the lawn was dormant. Come late February I fertilized with Stay green weed and feed. Wow did the weeds come out if full force. 75% of my lawn are weeds so before I spend the money to resod it I’m going to try your methods to kill the weeks and hopefully strengthened what little centipede I have left.

Thanks for the demo! You mentioned Certainty as a cool season grass killer and it seems to work. I bought Change Up last year on your recommendation and i love that stuff.

Very good! I have my centipede at 1" now and stressing weeds left and right. Atrazine has been slow but sho'. I'll be fertilizing soon, so the centipede can head 'em up, and move 'em out! Thanks Jason for all the help!

Thanks, Jason. I bought Change Up per your recommendation 2 years ago and am pleased with it's performance on my centipede lawn. I'm applying a pre-emergent to my lawn of just under two acres at the beginning of February and would like to use a post emergent to kill existing cool season weeds. Would Change Up or Celsius WG be best? Can they be used or a dormant centipede lawn? Or do you have a better recommendation? I've searched through some of your videos and have yet to find the info I need for dormant centipede. Thanks for all you do to help us! EDIT I'm in West Alabama and is just for my personal property. Not in the business.

I’m not Jason but I’m dealing with the same situation as you, only I’m in the Florida panhandle. I COULD BE WRONG but my research with all the extension office documents and blogs… I’m about to use ChangeUp on my centipede today. We are going through this cold snap (totally iced over yard this morning (Jan 23) so I think my grass is dormant enough and forecast is still cold. I chose ChangeUp specifically because my research shows it’ll be the least damaging to the yard right now. If we wait any longer, we’ll probably get into green up. I’m using a tiny bit of atrazine as well, like very small amount.
