How to Kitchener Stitch Toe Without Ears. This is a neat little trick for omitting the ears on a kitchener stitch toe. Great for afterthought heels too. This is demonstrated using the Continental Knitting method.

When I first started knitting, I remember seeing socks knit by a man who knit only socks, and was impressed by how beautiful his Kitchner toes were. No pointy little dog ears, which I've always disliked. I thought it was because he had years of sock knitting practice, but I realise now that he had been using your method. I now also use your method, and the toes of my socks are beautifully rounded too. Thank you so much!

This is by far the best Kitchener video I’ve ever seen. I’ve been making socks for several years and always make errors in my Kitchener….always….. Even in spite of this great video, I have to stop the video after every step and can’t go forward without watching. I know the mantra in my sleep. The front side is no problem but on the back a knit doesn’t look like a knit and a Purl doesn’t look like a purl and I guess by now I’ve done thousands. It must be a dyslexia thing. Anyway, this video offers me the first real hope that I might learn it one day before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

Goodness gracious! You are my angel. No one, absolutely no one, has demonstrated this bloody graft as clearly and thoroughly as you have here. In particular, you made it very clear what to do with the yarn when moving front to back and back to front. I did a perfect kitchener finally, except my beautiful knit finish ended up on the wrong side because I could find no one who said how to carry the yarn forward and back, etc. My saving grace was that my kitchener was worked on a small swatch that was simply knitted to learn this bindoff/seaming method. My learning is exponential. 😅 Thank you so much. My friend sent me your tutorial, and I'm an instant subscriber forever now.

I've always struggled with grafting the toe on sox & until I found your video, I didn't think I'd ever accomplish such a neat toe!! My sox turned out beautifully. Your video has made it simple and enjoyable! Thanks so much!!

This is brilliant. Wish I had seen this earlier. I finished one toe and did it the old way. I decided to see if there was a "imprived" method out there, and sure enough, found this.

I rarely use the Kitchener stitch so I often have to refer back to a video for instruction. Yours is by far the best one. I have watched quite a few and I keep coming back to you. Thank you for the wonderful instruction.

Same here. I haven't been doing kitchener for long, and whenever I try to remember it, the only thing that comes to mind is the steps for EZ's (most popular) sewn bind off. Additionally, your "bonus" instruction at the end on how to do duplicate stitch makes more sense to me than anything I've seen before. I could never understand how to do it, but that's easy!
