Nevermind the rude commenter regarding ponytails in the salon. I for one am eternally grateful to Paul Watts for doing these trendy cuts videos that we can do on ourselves. Not everyone is logistically able to get to Paul to do our hair and these ponytail and self cut videos are amazing! ❤
This is the 2nd cut I’ve tried. First was the layered Wolfe cut - and I just did this one - chopped about 2 inches of the back- looks great - thank you - awesome tutorials!
I just gave myself the most beautiful haircut I’ve ever had and it took all of 3 minutes. I also have extremely thick wavy hair and it you would never know it doesn’t have any of the refined salon finishing cuts. Absolutely gorgeous, thank you!
We have women at the office that pay good money for hair cuts all the time and they ooh and aah over them all the time. But once you get good at cutting your own hair< well lets just say they will never give you a compliment, but you sure know yourself it looks awesome.
3:29. THIS! I LOVE how you explain the why's and how's to what the result will be from how you do things. Thank you...I love the explanations you give in each video. ❤❤❤❤
I love you! You have saved me so much money! And I always like using the techniques you show to cut hair. I've never not be satisfied with the result after following one of your videos!
thank you so so much!!! i look so great now+ i hold the ponytail on the forehead wide up in to the air to do a softer cut and cut the neckponytail shorter, then cause i like it messy i defined with a razor in a curled manner. also used your tip to thicken up my hair with a razor and did in section shoerter parts off. nicest haircut ive ever got to do myself. thank you!!! and these cute bangs+
it has been your previous video structured bob four ponytails with butterfly bangs the botox one i definitley look two years younger :) honestly and i got more a long kind of a face and my face now seems more babyish and round. haha :)
OMG! I just did this on myself. It looks amazing! I have super thick wavy hair and have gotten countless horrible haircuts in my life so I'm no stranger to cutting my own hair, but this takes it to a whole new level. I flat ironed the ends lightly before starting. I'm so happy! Thanks a million Paul!!! 💖🧡💖
@@csbastilla I just realised I posted this comment on the wrong video - I used the bang section from this after doing the 3-ponytail cut which is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WJ-1yY6mGUk.html i did it with hair dry. It had been blown out at the salon and was perfectly straight (and I hate the way that looks) so it was a great opportunity to do this. That being said, maybe wet is actually easier. I used several small rubber bands on each chunk to make them more manageable as the chunks were super thick. Have a very good sharp hair-cutting shear and go slowly and carefully through each ponytail, keeping the scissor at the correct angle. I made quite a gaff by screwing up the angle on one, but even so, with my waves, it almost blends in and prob no one but me would notice. Note: it took me forever to section the hair properly. Take your time with that part or get someone to help. This whole thing would be so much easier with someone else sectioning and cutting. BTW, it's now a month later and the cut still looks awesome! Good luck and let us know how it goes!
What is that highlight technique called? Hows it done??? I like that its still in the same color family as the darker shade, its just lightened enough to really frame and pop with the swept away style...it just lets it play peekaboo 😊
If I wanted to skip the face framing and have the front match the back/side length or even be a bit longer kind of like an A-bob with a flat back, would it be better to pull the front pony back to the crown of the head or just measure the pony down to the throat and cut it there? Main goal being the front-most hair is the longest
Paul, could you show how to cut those cuts with a side part. Would the ponytail then be made more to the side? Thanks for a reply or maybe a new video please.
are we talking an A line bob? with layering? Is this to show non hairdressers? ok, so it someone asks for a kitty, lol, i guess i know now its an A line bob with texture, oh the names they come up with now for some basic haircuts. why cant we just call them their actual name lololol... thanks social media for that!
Exactly. I appreciate all of your videos Paul. I am 54 and I have never been able to get anyone to work with my fine hair. With your videos, I have been able to get the haircut that I want and I have also helped others as well. I have even done cuts for kids. times are hard financially for many people, but there are more people now that I know who can’t get out as often as they used to. I am here to help as many as I can since Paul has come into my life. Much love to you, Paul and keep up those videos 👍❤
He creates these videos to demonstrate where the hair is coming from and the elevation. He usually does a different video with the salon version of the cut as well.
Thank you so much, I did this on my self, and I love it, I'm still learning English so it was like practice at the same time, thanks for your vídeo, saludos de México 🎉
