Thank you for this tutorial. I have attempted to knit socks a few times over the past 10-15 years. I always struggled with cuff down, so have always done toe-up. I couldn't understand the instructions for short-row heels and that's where I gave up on the first pair. I did successfully knit a pair with a shadow wrapped heel a couple of years ago. Your video of the heel is so clear. It makes me want to try these methods.

This tutorial was my first time doing a short row heel too, I prefer a heel flap and gusset myself it makes much more sense in my brain than the short rows. I've got an adult sock tutorial using that method if you ever want a full step by step tutorial to knit your first sock. Thanks again!

Wonderful video! Excellent demo of German Short Rows! …and what a perfect project for beginners and Holiday decorators alike! I’m intrigued with your purling technique - gonna check out your other videos. I’m trying to switch from inefficient throwing, to Continental, but still working on the Purl. I like Norwegian Purl, but struggle with tension.
