Absolutely amazing! Also nice to see a larger "up-top" lady like myself. Alot of patterns I have seen are all for much smaller ladies. :) You have definitely inspired me.

I think it’s brilliant that you did this. I have made a bunch of things on my Addi, but I’m not a knitter. I know that I can do what you are doing here, having done done some basic stitch manipulation with hats. However, I am not a knitter (I crochet though!) and I can’t make out your chart on your blog. It is not a standard knitting chart, and I think I just need more explanation of what the numbers mean, so that I can tell what do on each row.

Love this video! Thank you for making it possible for me to even attempt knitting a sweater for myself. If you have a chance, could you make a video showing how you made a sleeve cuff for this and how you attached it to the sleeve piece? I’m a super beginner knitter and I am struggling to figure out the best way to do it.

I do love the look of the lace work you accomplished on the Sentro. I would like to do something like this in a button up cardigan vs a pullover sweater (jumper). What about making something which includes cabling on your Sentro/Addi???? I do own both the Addi & Sentro, yet, I primarily machine knit using flatbed knitting machines (Brother KH260; Brother KX390 Convertible; LK 150; Bond Elite; Studio 560 Electronic; Brother (Jones) 585 Profile; USM and KnitSmart Afghaner). I knit sweaters (jumpers); blankets, dress socks & Christmas stockings, etc. Your vid is encouraging me to knit a sweater with my Sentro.

I think I will try a cable project next. I am impressed with your knitting machine collection. I am tempted by a flat bed but I find it hard to find reviews for machines I can actually find to buy. Which one your flat beds is your favourite?

Do you mean you are getting dropped stitches? If you search RU-vid for a tutorial on fixing a dropped stitch you can easily latch it up. To avoid dropped stitches make sure you have the right tension on the yarn, don’t turn it too fast and keep an eye out for the yarn missing the needles.

Can you tell me Why you had an extra row on one front side please?
@emilysmith2784
@emilysmith2784 Год назад
So that I can do the decreases on the opposite side. Knitting has a right side and a wrong side. If I knit them both the same then one side would be inside out. Hope that makes sense.
@laurarose2636
@laurarose2636 2 года назад
This is great, but a question. When you cast on 36 stitches in the beginning, does that mean you cast on 38 as the first two stitches don't count as you lose them or am I getting mixed up? Keep up the good work
@emilysmith2784
@emilysmith2784 2 года назад
I didn’t as I knew the knit would stretch and I wanted a fitted sweater. It is a good idea though, as you are right, you lose a stitch either side when you seam.

@anononinternet8344

Why did you knit so you have to decrease? Would it not be easier to knit other way round and increase? Or was there a reason - I end up getting lost how to decrease needing to swap stitches over without knitting them
@emilysmith2784
@emilysmith2784 2 года назад
You probably could. I haven’t experimented with increasing that much. Give it a go and let me know how it turns out 👍
@anononinternet8344
@anononinternet8344 2 года назад
@@emilysmith2784 ah I saw further on you needed to manipulate stitches same way for the lace anyway so seems you are confident with that but increase is as simple as knitting the stitch next to your end stitch to increase so it’s much easier and faster if you’re careful to only knit however many stitches you want to increase each side
@anononinternet8344
@anononinternet8344 2 года назад
I tested on a swatch and seems works fine to knit plain from smallest to largest width

I am sorry, I cannot find the document, I think that is why I never uploaded it to my blog. I spent days typing up the pattern and then my laptop broke and I lost it.
@cynthiasymons

This is what I was saying on another post. I think if you just give a bit more explanation about how to read the chart, that is all we need-not necessarily a pattern. If you had gone more slowly in the video, we might have been able to make it out, but without that we need a little more explanation. Thanks!
