I knit all my children's clothes when they were newborn to about 6 years of age --- sweaters, baby clothes, blankets, hats, booties etc. The problem is that I have not knit for about 30 years. My mom taught me to knit and she was a superb knitter. So here, I am 30 years later, and I just watched your beautiful video for this baby blanket. I'm going to begin this knitting project as I way to get back into knitting. You created a great tutorial video and I'm ready to jump back into knitting! Many many thanks! I'm so excited to begin today!
This blanket is perfect! This was my first time ever knitting and this tutorial was so easy to follow. I’d always wanted to try knitting but could never follow along until this video. Though it took me several tries to finally get things right in the beginning, the blanket turned out fabulous. Perfect size to swaddle my baby girl! I even got compliments from the nurses and doctors in the hospital about the blanket 😂 Thank you so much for such a clear tutorial on such a comfy blanket!
Hi thank you for the tutorial. I am on my 20th or 30 row and just now I realized that the right border is different than the left. I am following your directions to the T but can you explain why is different?
In order to make it easy enough for beginners I kept the pattern as simple as possible. I have a note in the description to say that borders will look reversed. It didn’t bother me that the borders were a bit different but I know it bothers some. I have not had time to do a workaround as yet. Always so busy. Sorry if it bothers you.
Thank for showing this way to add new ball of yarn. Lots of rewinding and sweating thru it, but I got it and I did it! I am still practicing stitches and will be doing the baby blanket with you when I get more confidence!
The blanket doesn’t have to be the exact same size as mine. Some 5 weights are very similar to 6 weights. You can cast on as many stitches as you want but in multiples of 4.
Hi I absolutely love this video.I already do knitting so already knew some of the techniques I just decided that I would do an easy blanket for my nieces new baby. I live in the UK so I kind of found it hard to figure out what type of chunky wool year when using so I just picked up some more that stated it was chunky. I decided not to use the circular Knitting Needles as I don’t get on with them very well. so I just used 4mm Needles so I hope it turns out okay.
I hope it works out great too for you. The circular needles are just handy to hold all the stitches. It’s a bit of a scrunch up to fit them on straight needles.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been wanting to learn how to knit for years and you explain everything so clearly and at a great speed. I just made my first baby grandson this blanket and I'm so excited to gift it. I'm sure there are special washing instructions before gifting this blanket and I'd like to give washing instructions if you have any great tips you could share that won't ruin the integrity of it's newness. Thank you so much!!
I started finger knitting, and I’d like to learn traditional knitting you go a bit faster than the first tutorial I watched but I find it easier to follow you. It’s a bit hard to follow which side of the needle you are wrapping the yarn, so I’ll experiment until I have it down. I’m knitting blankets for my two nephews. Fingers crossed!
I hope you figure it out okay. Just think of the circular needles as two needles and forget there is a wire between. When you are finished one row just turn around and knit the second row. Wish you success!
Wow!!! I have never seen that join before. Thank you so very much for teaching it. I am a new subscriber and making baby blankets for three different Moms. So, I wanted each blanket to be different and unique to that person. This pattern is so sweet and easy to make. So, this will be one of them. Thank you so much.
Great Tutorial. I’d love to make this for my friends new grand baby. Thank you. Unfortunately I can’t find the yarn you used anywhere. Can you recommend a substitute. I
Not to worry. It is hard these days as so many items are out of stock so we have to adjust to these new times. It’s hard to recommend a yarn as it could be out of stock as well. Just look for any soft yarn and if you can’t find a chunky you can use a different weight and look on the yarn label for the appropriate needle size. If it is a thinner yarn than you can always cast on more stitches to make the blanket larger.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts thank you so much for replying to my question. I found Bernat Baby Blanket, Super Chunky, #6. I plan on using 8mm and following your pattern of 108 CO or do you think I should cast on less stitches in multiple of 4?
Your blanket will end up a bit thicker and larger and that is fine. If you don’t want it larger than you can cast on 4 or 8 stitches less like you mentioned. I’m
Yes it will change things. If you use a thinner yarn you will have to change your size of needles as well. The needle size recommended will be on the yarn label. If you use the thinner yarn it will also make the dimensions of your final blanket size smaller.
Enjoyed your tutorial very much, thank you. I am a beginner who has made a few scarves and now want to start a blanket. Great to learn the Russian join. Saves having to weave ends in and seems more secure. Thank you. I will try your pattern in the near future. Thank you for making the next step in knitting doable!
BRILLIANT Tutorial. I knit Hats for THE Sick Childers Hospital .iwould to make this BEAUTIFUL Blanket .love they stitch.your work is BEAUTIFUL. Joying the yarn is BRILLIANT thanks for showing how to make to make this this BEAUTIFUL Blankets..THANK YOU FOR THE PATTERN I AM IN IRELAND. THANK YOU AGAIN .HAPPY BABYS AND HAPPY MUMS ❤❤❤
So happy I found this blanket pattern! Been knitting for a while and I always stay with generally “safe” projects. Loved that this taught me me 2 new techniques- knitted cast on and Russian join. How have I not been doing a Russian join all this time- this is soooo useful. For all those having trouble finding the same yarn…..I’m using Baby Bee My Sweet Love yarn that I ordered from Hobby Lobby. It’s 5 bulky and I needed 7 skeins. I’m using size 10, 36 in circulars. I’m on my 2nd ball and it’s looking so good. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this pattern!
Thanks Angie for your great comment. Glad that you are enjoying this pattern! Thanks for the suggestion for other viewers on the Baby bee my sweet love yarn. Hard to find supplies these days.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts finished the blanket! Came out really nice 😊. If you have a baby hat pattern that uses the same weight yarn, please share it. Thanks again.
Angie that’s great to hear that you finished your blanket and you are happy with it. I did publish a video on hats for the whole family. I used the same weight yarn. It’s not a bonnet but more off a toque. Here’s the link to the video and the patterns are in the description of the video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GVTeRA4Gq34.html
I’m excited to start this blanket! I will be following your video exactly so not to mess it up. I have a question that might seems dumb but I’m still learning to knit. Your end blanket measured 31X35, I would like mine to be bigger for crib mattress. So that I understand correctly, to make it wider, I would add additional stitches of 4. That means, instead of casting on the 108 stitches, I would cast on 112, or 116? For the length, just stop at the length I like? Also, if I cast on the 116, still follow directions exactly the same, correct? Making sure to end with the 6 stitches to P2,K2,P2. Thank you!! Denise
Thank you for such a lovely pattern! I am nearing the end and have just done the last 4 rows to create the ribbing. My question is, should I do 2 additional rows on the ribbing? In the beginning I did 4 rows for the ribbing and started the pattern of K2 P2, so the ribbing is to 6 rows long, no? I hope this makes sense. Thanks so much!
It is 4 rows of ribbing but the pattern with rows 1-4 does make it look like more rows. You will see when you do it. Just finish rows 1-4 and then do your 4 rows for ribbing. Your almost there!
I love the look of this blanket & I am an experienced knitter but I cannot find the little arrow that you talk about in reading the pattern. I have had this with other patterns on here & I cannot understand why I cannot get it. I am on utube! Thanks for any help you can provide me.
Oh no! Look for the little triangle to the right and just below the video. Click on the triangle and it will open the description box. Scroll down and you will find the full pattern. Or it might say the words “show more” click on the words and it will open the description box.
Best video ever; wonderful directions and you are so clear and careful with your explanations. So easy to follow. You've also been generously available in responding to all my follow-up questions. Thank you!!
Yours is by far the best illustration of a Russian Join that I have seen!!!! I may try it again. I have been using the Magic Knot. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hello! I love this pattern and almost finished, but I have small little holes in various spots throughout the blanket. Am I doing something wrong? I wondering if I'm not pulling the thread tight enough? Thanks for your help!
If your pattern looks consistent than my guess would be uneven tension when you are knitting or you may have dropped a stitch or knitting two together. But that would throw off your pattern.
Thanks for this helpful video - much clearer than others on RU-vid. I have made blankets for previous grandchildren but never a good result. I tried knitting squares, sewing together etc but it was always a disappointing result. I like your clear & calm way of instruction & would like to make this one for another baby - this one due in the summer months. Would it work in a lighter, less chunky yarn & if so approximately how many cast on stitches? Thankyou & best wishes from Sydney Australia
Glad you like my style of teaching. When you are changing up needle sizes and yarn sizes from original pattern than it is best to knit a small sample gauge. Cast on about 20 stitches and knit about 8 rows. Look and see how many stitches you knit in your inch(2.5cm) So if you have knit 6 stitches to your 1”(2.5cm) then you can figure out how many stitches to cast on to get the right size. If you want your blanket to be 31”(78.8cm) wide than you will multiply. 31x6”=186 (78.8x15.3cm) stitches to cast on. Just make sure your final number is a multiple of 4. Add or minus a cast on stitch to make it work. Hope that makes sense.
Thank you, Patti, for the prompt detailed response. By watching your video, I have learned how to cast on stitches. I'm practicing on some old yarn. Can this moss stitch baby blanket be made with Bernat Softee Light 3 yarn? I couldn't find Bulky 4 or 5 at either Michael's or Jo-Ann's. So would Light 3 work? If not, I will continue my search for Bulky 5 or 4. Sorry to be such a nuisance, but my ignorance leaves me no choice. Moreover, I've watched several videos. Your teaching method is the best and extremely helpful for beginners. Thank you.
Yarn is in short supply right now so use what you can find. If you are going to use a thinner yarn than just look on the label and it will tell you the correct needle size to use. Because you are knitting with a thinner yarn the overall blanket will be a smaller size. If you want your blanket to be about the same size as mine than you can add more cast on stitches in multiples of 4. That means you can add 4, 8, 12 or 16 more stitches etc. Enjoy your knitting project!
My brother just surprised me yesterday that I’m going to be an auntie, and I want to make a blanket. I don’t know the gender and a white blanket is definitely the best route. I’m also a first time knitter, but I’m definitely going to try this one out!
Hi there Patti, I'm having a go at this and don't want to give up. I'm using the circular needles, does it matter that my cast on is bending around the circle? or am I meant to keep it straight? also, does the cast on need to be perfectly even consistently or is it meant to be a little bit uneven and fixes up as you add the rows? 💛 so sorry if these are silly questions
There are no silly questions. All good. The circular needles are only used to hold lots of stitches. Just think of them as two individual needles. So even if you are using straight needles we still want all the stitches sitting in the same direction. When you go to knit your first stitch you can straighten the stitches as you go. The second row will be easier as the stitches will stay straight for you. It’s better if all stitches have the same size but with practice your tension will improve. Keep going!
So hard right now with a shortage of supplies still. You can use any brand that is soft enough for babies in the same 5 weight. Hard to suggest one and than that one be out of stock as well.
Gorgeous! Im making this for my great nephew. I find that I tend to make mistakes easily (just from not paying close enough attention). I put stitch markers in to mark off the border, and every 12 stitches in between. Now, i check my work after each set of 12 stitches. Problem solved!
I usually write it out on paper. Row 1 Row 2 Row 3 Row 4 And every time I finish a row I check it off. If you lose track look for rows 1&2 which is K2,P2 all the way across the row.
Patti, I am a beginner in knitting and live overseas. I have been knitting the double moss stitch baby blanket for my great grandson and am on my way to completion after first trying with the double needles, which I soon got rid of and purchased the straight needles. I became quite confused using the circular needles. I wish to thank you for the easy tutorial although I had a very difficult time in finding the wool. I ended up using Bernat Super Value 100% Acrylic each ball 7 oz 197 g Natural. I have used 2 balls of this yarn and the blanket is now approximately 31"W and 35" long. After I knit the 4th row of the pattern, do I have to do 4 more rows as the finishing border as I did in the beginning? Also, is there someway that the baby's name can be included on the finished blanket. I do not know how to crochet.
Yes. Top border -knit 4 rows of k2, p2 ribbing If you know how to do embroidery than you could attach the baby’s name that way. You could also buy some sewing labels that say Made with love from Gramma and sew it on.
Hi Patti, I've just recently started learning to knit for the arrival of my 1st grandchildren (my daughter is pregnant with twins!). Ive started this blanket but using flutterby chunky wool, which is a chenille wool....Will this still turn out okay do you happen to know? Also thanks for your very easy to follow video 🙌🏼
Wonderful! Congrats to be a grandma soon! You can use any yarn you like. I just choose a soft yarn for babies. And a washable yarn is preferred. Some wool yarns will shrink in the wash.
I cannot wait to start this beautiful blanket! I could not find 6mm circular needles but I did find 6.5 mm ones; will this be okay or will I have to add more stitches?
Hi I’m kind of new at knitting, I’m getting confused, after I finish each row and start my pattern should the next stitch be opposite of what ever I left off with? For instance after I do my 2k 2p 2k should the next two stitches be Knit or pearl 🤷🏽♀️ Thanks
Depending on what row you are on. Row 1: *K2, P2*across row (forms its own border on the left and right side) Row 2: *K2, P2*across row Row 3: K2, P2, K2 (border) then start pattern *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Row 4: K2, P2, K2 *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Repeat rows 1 to 4 until desired length achieved. On Row 3 follow what it says. This will create the moss stitch. So you start with k2,p2,k2 and then you will do another k2 than p2 and you continue k2,p2. Row four is the same. Hope that clarified it for you n
About to give it second go, first one made me very proud, I know I'm gonna mail it next time Thank you so much for your help and support and time 🙏💓🙏💓🙏💓🙏
I have knitted 3 of your "soft cuddly baby blankets" using Bernat Pipsqueak baby baby print. Beautiful! I would like to knit this Moss baby blanket using the same pipsqueak yarn. Could I adapt this pattern by casting on more stitches in multiples of 4's. Perhaps the Pipsqueak yarn is too fine? thank you
I designed the pattern so it was the easiest to understand for beginners. I would have to re write the pattern and I am swamped so unfortunately I just don’t have the time.
Patti,I can't wait to knit this and gave you a thumbs up. That Russian join is amazing I always just thread the rest of the yarn through the stitches but this is wonderful. I'll send a review when I finish the blanket (fingers crossed). Thank you, Sonia Flaum, So. California
Why are my sides different. Didn’t notice til I had gone quite a ways. Maybe I turned the circular needle wrong on each row? But it is double,on one edge and single on the other. The back is the same way. So I must have turned Needle wrong. Any suggestions or help? I need to tear it all out now. Wish you would show, the edges.
Hi Sharon, I have emailed you as well. To keep the pattern easy for beginners this is how the pattern works out. The left border will look the same as the right border but on the back side. Sorry, for any confusion. I was trying to keep it as simple as possible.
Hi Patie, thank you for sharing this pattern. I will be using Baby Delight yarn by loops & threads, it's a thinner yarn. I would like to know if I want the baby blanket to be the same size as yours 31" X 35" do I still cast on 108 stitches or do I need to cast on more as this yarn is thinner?
Everyone’s tension is a bit different. The best advice is to do a gauge test. Cast on about 20 stitches and knit about 10 rows. Then measure how many stitches you knit per inch. Example: If you knit 5 stitches per inch and you want your blanket 30” wide then you know you have to cast on 150 stitches.
That is a pretty border. The way you joined the two yarns was really neat also, I will have to practice doing that cause I'm not that good at doing things like that but I'm a new learner, looks like it would pull apart but it doesn't.I'm going to try and make this for my first great-great nephew who is due next March.
I’ve just started knitting but my stitches are either too tight or too loose.Dose any have any tips on how to keep the tension in the stitches the same?
I wrap my yarn around my baby finger and then let the yarn slide through my thumb and first finger to assist with good tension to keep stitches the same.
Hi. I really enjoyed watching this video. You explain things just like my mum, and I found it so easy to follow. Thank you, I'll be following you from now on ☺
Thank you for this video and detailed instructions! I could only find a super bulky 6 yarn. Can I still use the size 10 needles or will I need to purchase size 11 as recommended on the yarn label?
Hello. Thank you very much for the clear explanation and the Russian join is great! I have 2 questions: 1. If I'm using a thinner yarn with 4.00 needles how many stitches do you think I should cast? 2. Do you always knit the first stitch?
Question 1. Depends how big you want your blanket. This pattern is forgiving as you can make it any size you want by adding 4,8 or 12 or more to make it larger. I used 6mm needles with a bulky 5 yarn. You are using 4mm with a size 4 yarn. So, it’s a bit of a guess for me. The best way is to do a little test sample to test your gauge. Then you will know how many stitches per inch. If you want the same size as mine as a guesstimate you could cast on 132. Question 2. Yes, every row starts with a knit stitch.
Patti, I love the way you have explained every step. Thank you. I am an absolute beginner and am feeling lost because I cannot find this yarn in any color. I purchased Bernat Softee Baby yarn. Can this yarn be used for this Moss stitch blanket? If yes, please tell me how many skeins I would need; also, if I should use circular or straight needles and what size. I also bought Bernat Baby blanket yarn Super bulky 6. Did I make a mistake? Is that meant only for crocheting? I am in panic mode because I have to make a baby blanket before April this year. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi. Super bulky BLANKET yarn is way thicker than what I used in my tutorial. A super bulky yarn is not as thick as a super bulky blanket yarn. The blanket yarn will not work for this pattern. Sorry. There may be a knitting pattern on the label of the yarn that you bought and you can try that or try and find a yarn that is closer to what I used. Any regular bulky 4 or a bulky 5. Just not a bulky blanket weight yarn. The only reason I use circular needles is so it can comfortably hold all the stitches. You just use the needles the same way you would straight needles. The wire in the middle is just to hold all the stitches. If you have really long straight needles you might be able to squish all the stitches on. Hope that makes you feel a little less worried.
With supplies being hard to get these days I say go ahead and substitute. The yarn I used was a bulky 5 and you want to use a bulky 6. Just use the needle size recommended on the yarn label. Your blanket will end up bigger than mine. So just cast on less stitches. To figure out how many stitches to cast on it is best to knit a small sample. Cast on about 16 stitches and knit about 8 rows. Measure how many stitches you knit per inch. Example: Let’s say you knit 4 stitches per inch and you want your blanket to be 30” in width. Then just multiply 4x30 which equals 120. So you will cast on 120 stitches.
Thank you for his beautiful video. This is my first blanket and so enjoying how it is coming out. I need some guidance as to the length it should be for a christening blanket. I read below that add on until desired length. My blanket is 32 inches wide. Please guide me as to appropriate finished length. Thank you.
There is no right or wrong size for christening blanket sizes. I like to see a christening blanket that is a bit longer so it hangs down a bit. So if you have 32” for your width than try for 36” for your length.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts Thank you Patti for your quick response. I am looking forward to finishing my first blanket for my soon to be grandchild. It really is coming out so very beautiful thanks to your wonderful guidance.
Congrats on your grandchild to be. I was so excited for my first. Now I have two and 1 more coming very soon! Glad you are enjoying the knitting of your blanket!
Approx How much yarn in length should I save for the border and cast off? I’m using super bulky 6 Bernard baby blanket yarn (which actually gave me about 42” in width with 108 stitches).
I tried to keep this pattern as simple as possible for beginner knitters. I didn’t want to complicate the pattern so it does cause one border to be reversed. I would have to re work the pattern. Or you could do a small sample and just reverse the border stitches on the other side but that might be confusing. I would have to rewrite the pattern.
I have US size 5 and Bernat Baby Solids yarn. The weight is the same, amount per ball is different I’m pretty sure. Could I use same cast on, or should I change everything. Knit years ago, first project in 15 years, little rusty again. Thankyou!
If you are changing up the needle and yarn size than it is best to knit a small sample gauge. Cast on about 20 stitches and knit about 8 rows. Look and see how many stitches you knit in your inch(2.5cm) So if you have knit 6 stitches to your 1”(2.5cm) then you can figure out how many stitches to cast on to get the right size. If you want your blanket 30” in width than you multiply 30x the 6 stitches which equals 180 stitches. Just make sure your final number is a multiple of 4. Add or minus a cast on stitch to make it work. Hope that makes sense.
So I am abit confused. You said to knit with round needles to just hold the stitches but it looks to me you are knitting the blanket with the circular needles. So I guess it is ok to knit the whole blanket with circular needles then? Thanks
Sorry for any confusion. Yes, the circular needles have the nice long cord attached in between to hold all the stitches while knitting ALL the rows. Just was trying to clarify not to knit in the round but use the circular needles to hold all the stitches.
Hello! I’m following your video and I like how you made it so beginner knitters can understand it. My question I have is, I already had done row 3 and 4. Do I have to start doing 3 and 4 again? Or start from row 1 to 4 according to the pattern? I’m just kind of confused. Thank you!
Hi Ermela, Once you have done your 4 rows of ribbed knitting for your bottom border than you start the moss pattern rows 1-4 and keep repeating rows 1-4 until your desired length then add your 4 rows of ribbed knitting for top border.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts hi there I was wondering this as well so the moss stitch is a repeat of rows 3 and 4 but you also do them for 1 and 2 so you don't have the beginning rib portion untill the last 6 lines have I got this correct
Bottom border -4 rows of K2, P2 ribbing Now the pattern starts Row 1: *K2, P2*across row (forms its own border on the left and right side) Row 2: *K2, P2*across row Row 3: K2, P2, K2 (border) then *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Row 4: K2, P2, K2 *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Repeat rows 1 to 4 until desired length achieved. Top border -knit 4 rows of k2, p2 ribbing
I love this pattern! This is my first baby blanket and second knitting project. My yarn, however, keeps twisting. Any ideas on how to correct this when doing the knit -2 purl 2 stitch?? Thanks so much.
I always pull the yarn from the inside of the ball. This prevents the ball of yarn from rolling all over the place and twisting. You can also place your ball of yarn in a bowl and that should help any twisting of the yarn. I hope I understood your question correctly.
Hi Patti, thank you so much for this video, i just have a question this might seem really silly but I've done my 4 rows ribbing , and started the pattern with 2 rows ribbing and done steps 3 nd 4. Do I now continue with just 3 & 4 steps until length is desired or do I start again from step 1 through to 4. thanks kindly Tracey
You do your Bottom border of 4 rows of K2,P2 ribbing and then the pattern starts Row 1: *K2, P2*across row (forms its own border on the left and right side) Row 2: *K2, P2*across row Row 3: K2, P2, K2 (border) then start pattern *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Row 4: K2, P2, K2 *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Repeat rows 1 to 4 until desired length achieved.
How do you know whether to use your left needle or right need as you go… I keep ending up with two stitches on my right needle and super frustrated. This is my first blanket/ time knitting lol
Try to think of the circular needles as two needles. Not one. The wire in the middle is to just to hold all the stitches. The left needle will hold all your stitches and right needle will be doing the knitting. When you have finished a row of knitting. Turn it around so all the stitches are on the left needle and you are knitting the first stitch again with the right needle.
Yes of course. Just use a heavier yarn and look on the label for the suggested needle size.
Is the pattern 4 rows of K2, P2 across for the border? THEN the pattern of K2, P2, K2 K2, P2 across to the last 6 stitches of P2, K2, P2 for the remainder of the blanket? Then border at the other end of 4 rows K2, P2? Thank you! Hopefully starting tonight!
Hi Marion. To clarify. You start with the bottom border which is -4 rows of K2, P2 ribbing Now the pattern starts with these 4 rows. Just follow these 4 rows. Row 1: *K2, P2*across row (forms its own border on the left and right side) Row 2: *K2, P2*across row Row 3: K2, P2, K2 (border) then start pattern *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Row 4: K2, P2, K2 *(K2,P2)* Last 6 Sts P2, K2, P2 Repeat rows 1 to 4 until desired length achieved. And then you finish with Top border -knit 4 rows of k2, p2 ribbing
Did you use circular needles the whole time? I just finished my first 4 rows (border) and it looks like my blanket will be a circle?? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I'm still a beginner 😊
If your blanket is a circle than you must have joined the last stitch with the first one. Just treat the circular needles as two needles. When you are finished one row than turn your knitting over and start the next row.
For the Knit 2 Purl 2 ribbing for your border. If you have a multiple of 4 stitches for your cast on than you should be able to K2P2 for first row than repeat k2p2 for 3 more rows. If you end with 2 Purl stitches and then turn it over for your 2nd row you will start with K2 again.
I am keen to make this blanket, is there a printed version as I would like to add it to my collection? Thank you for such a great tutorial, loved the Russian join.
The pattern is below the video in the description box. Sometimes difficult to print from there. If you send me your email with a request for this blanket I will email you the pattern.
I am a beginner knitter, this will actually be my first project. I al how ever an experienced crocheted. I just had a quick question.... when I’m done with my first row of knit and bows I have 2 extra stitches, what am I doing wrong?
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts amazing thank you I’m new to knitting, I have one more question I don’t have the joined knitting needles. Will using just knitting needles be a problem?
Thank you for sharing this beautiful blanket, I wanted to knit a blanket for our soon to be new grandchild, one that looked great but was easy...ISH lol, thank you again you've got spot on! XXX Trish uk
