Knit along with my detailed video tutorial for RIGHT handed knitters this easy and simple lacy scarf. All you need to know how to cast-on, knit stitches, yarn over (YO), Knit 2 stitches together, purl, slip-slip-knit, bind off. If you know how to do this - you can knit this scarf. Use this pattern for anything - shawls, scarves, blankets, oversized sweaters made out of rectangles. Try different yarn weights. It is beautiful.

Yes, there are now so many video choices on RU-vid, but I choose yours. This is such a pretty scarf. I started knitting three months ago and am finding that I love lacework. Your pattern is so doable for a new knitter (and beautiful). Your instructions are excellent and clear and pleasant to watch. I have not placed stitch markers separating each repeat stitch pattern before. Will definitely do that as it will help keep my place and catch a potential error quickly. Cannot wait to finish my new project. And am looking forward to your other videos. Thank you!!

I have to admit , when you first started speaking, my first thought was that I would have a hard time understanding you, that was not the case. You are not only easy to understand, your accent is enjoyable. Also, I appreciate how you place the camera and hold your work so that it is easy to follow what your doing as you're explaining it. I started teaching myself to knit at the beginning of the year, and my goal for the new year has been to learn lace knitting, mainly because my daughter and granddaughter keep bringing me patterns they want (it never ends). So thank you for the video, this will be my first project in lace and will be following your other videos as well,

Hi Richard, what a nice and long comment - ❤️ it.... please keep me updated on your achievements (I think you can see other simple lace patterns in my channel), and yes I do have a heavy accent because I started to learn English as an adult, not a child, but I try to pronounce words so people can understand me (southerners have hardest time over the telephone, but in person it’s OK 😁 ) 🍀

Pat, I would suggest to say your stitches aloud (yarn over, knit together, or slip slip knit, yarn over....) - since you don’t have as much experience in lacy knitting once you make a mistake you will have to rip it, but if you say your “knitting stitch mantra” you are less likely to make a mistake

hi your scarf designs are pretty and patterns are brilliant. thanks for explaining. there is one request...can you please also add the size of the finished projects. that will be a great help to know estimates of the size and to guess how much yarn would be required for different desired sizes. in camera /video it is difficult to have idea about the size. i hope you are safe in this pandemic situation ..thanks

Beautiful pattern! I was wondering what to do with the Shawl in a Ball I bought (I think that's what this is?). This will also be a good pattern to use to teach my mom how to do lace. She's just learning how to knit and purl right now.

+xfortunesquex - yes Shawl in a Ball. I love to work with this yarn - I wonder how it will wash - it feels soft despite having cotton in it as well. Hopefully it will keep its softness. Good luck 🍀 to your mom. It will take a little while but if she practices she will make a beautiful garment. This pattern looks difficult but it repeats 3 YO rows same way. She will have to make sure she doesn't forget to do those YO 😉 just keep an eye on her 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Hi Bronislawa, great looking scarf, on the written instructions you have purl stitch after the last yarn over and knit stitch. On the video you not doing purl stitch.
