Hi I am trying to finish heel …..have been subscribed for a long time! Love knitting the Selbu way. Have made many mittens,this is my first pair of russesocks … stuck on the heel . I am knitting the first row have taken your suggestion for the black row of separation from the top portion of design,not sure where to start bottom foot pattern. Also am doing the woman’s sock in black and white. Please need a bit more direction. Thankyou so much Shari
Hi! Thank you so much for your comment. If you begin your round with the pattern under the foot, you just continue the pattern and then you get to the back of the heel you start with the same pattern row that you just worked under the foot. If you begin your round with the black row after the ankle part of the pattern, look at the foot pattern on your sock first. Find out what row in the pattern that will be next on the foot pattern. This is the row you begin with. This way you will work the same pattern row all the way around. Hope this helps. If not, just ask =)

I was wondering if you would be able to tell me how many inches the socks measure from one side to the other. Thank you.
I've been trying to follow this, but the pattern always comes out looking very bunched up. How does yours look so neat? I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly.

I gave the ones in the video to my husband and he says they are really nice to wear =) The men's socks that I knit in the video are size EU 45-46. The yarn I use is Dale Falk. I think it is DK?? 22 stitches in 4" with needles 3,5 mm. I will add this information on my site shortly.

Hi! The ones I knitted are size EU 45-46. I just checked and they weigh 180 grams together. I made these from leftover yarn so sadly I am not 100% sure how much of each colour, but if I were to guess I would say 3 balls with bottom colour and 1 ball or a little bit more with pattern colour.
