Really cute sweater but I definitely need to make some adjustments. Followed your pattern for 6-9 mos. In the pattern, it states to knit the back until it measures 11 inches. I’m on the first sleeve and followed the pattern exactly. In order to incorporate the four decreases at every 14 rows (or 7 garter stitches), the sleeve now measures about 11 inches. It looks enormous! It’s both too wide and too long (it appears to be a couple inches longer than the body). I wonder if doing a decrease row immediately when adding the 6 stitches at the armpit would have made a difference. Instead I did my first decrease 14 rows from the armpit. I’m going to have to take it all apart and start over. I very much appreciate your step by step video.
Thanks for demonstration on garter stitch with ears. You’ve also introduced me to Petite patterns. I am an experienced knitter but the German short rows hopefully will manage. 🌸
Following this now (first knitted garment). Making plenty of mistakes which I am trying to solve along the way. Hoping it will turn out okay! Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial. Pleasant to follow, well lit and detailed instructions. Thank you!
I am so here for this! I became a grandma to a sweet baby boy 5 months ago and I'm going to make this cardigan for him for Christmas! You make it look so easy - thank you so much for this tutorial!
Love this! I don't even have kids but I may just make this to save for when I do! This is a project that would normally look way too intimidating for me but you explain it so well! Will you be doing more tutorials like this in the future? I imagine it must be a lot of work so I get if you don't have time for it
Hi! Thanks for your tutorial. I have a question about the yarn size. If I use yarn weight 4 (worsted) does that make a difference in the sizing? for example if I want to knit the size 2 yr with DK yarn I need to cast on 26 sts. if I use worsted yarn should I cast on less?
Hello, I wish I could share to you the picture of the cardigan that I followed your RU-vid and knitted for my grand child, it looks very nice. Thank you very much
