Hi Norman. Very interesting bind off. I’m making a cowl that says to bind off loosely so I’m going to be rewatching your videos on bind off methods and maybe do something a bit different than the standard bind off. This video is very timely and your instruction is stellar as usual! Thank you for another great video!😊🤗

Thank you so much for this. I found this stitch easy to remember plus easy to read the stitch so I knew what to do next. Where I struggled was slipping the stitch. I did this on 2x2 ribbing and found that I had to make sure to adjust the twisted stitch by pulling on it so that I had enough loop to get my needle into the stitch. I laughed because in the time it to you to explain and demonstrate several stitches, I got one made. Your stitches never seem to fight you. Thanks again for this video. I do think that I like this stitch and you made it so easy to understand.

glad my video made a difference. Well, I do sometimes fight with my stitches..but those bits don't make it on camera :P

It's cool how you repeat things in various ways because you break it down into easy to follow the steps.

I’ve got this saved to try on my next pair of toe up socks. I hate the top edge flairs out. Great tutorial! Thanks!

Norman I saw some tutorial said if the 1/1 is a twisted ribs the bind off should be done from the back side ( purl ) of the work is that so? Thanks😮

generally speaking, I would say that there are no hard rules in knitting. Do whatever you feel looks best for you and you feel is easier. Ultimately, simply knit a small swatch (cast on 14 stitches, knit across 2 rows, bind off). Do this twice and check if which version you like best. It will be 10 minutes work but you will learn a lot in the process :)

I wonder if this method would work for a 2-color bind-off in double knitting? My double-knit bind-offs are always too tight, and I'm thinking this method could help!

hm...well i want to be honest I never tried that myself. So, I would definitely try it on a swatch before or so.
