This year, I went through a very profound spiritual experience and had never felt closer to Him, to my Abba, as I had come to call Him. Since that time, that connection has lessened and has left me with doubt and questioning many things. Having said that, I know that He is unchanging and ever faithful; and, I pray that we can all learn to identify with - and to never let go of - His very personal Love for each and every one of His children.

I have had this question for some weeks as well. I'm struggling with doubt on the love of God, or if it's relevant to feel God's love. So thanks for sharing on the comments and thankful for the video.
This reminds me of a conversation I had with a fellow Christian. I was asking her to please pray for my grown son, who is not saved. And that I was so distraught over it. She told me God loves your son even more than you do! That hit me like a ton of bricks. I was like, "Oh yea! He does!!" And I have faith that God will reach his heart before it's too late. This is so good. I’m going to get this book! ’m so hard on myself (known Jesus for almost 30 years) it’s hard for me to get past my own failures and negative thoughts to see/believe God’s delight in me.

I find it very telling that Adventists never identify themselves as such unless asked directly. Why do you try to hide it? Is it because you know that people view it as a cult and think you won't get converts? If so, why do you think people see it as a cult? I’m 14 and I’m really scared of God abandoning me or not wanting me ): Even though never ever let me down and always been faithful and I’ve felt his joy, I am scared that if I get close to him something bad will happen. Just this morning I was praying to God to be the Father and Mother I never had. I promise I’m not a crier but I was sobbing during Dr Storms prayer. God has humbled me because of the pandemic I’m struggling along with my children as many others durning this time. I have been put in situations that I never thought I would be in not having enough food to feed my children is already hurting me having my job of 15 years to suddenly close there doors permanently was devastating. I have never asked ANYONE for help in my life until this time. Durning a worldwide pandemic, what me and many other families are facing durning this time of uncertainty not to mention having to home school our children so now I’m only looking for night shift, now needing to pay a babysitter but to be put down and called names or leaving me rude comments on my page like I haven’t worked my entire life. Waiting on the state for assistance while I dig threw the trash for my next meal. This is my reality. Please just pray for me during this time as I will pray for you. Thank you and God Bless. I pray you see God's provision for you in a bold way! When you read people's obnoxious comments, or feel discouraged, please remember who you are. You are not your career. You are not your job title. Your worth has nothing to do with the money in your bank account. You are God's child. That is your identity. That is your truth. If they can only look on the surface, then they aren't for you. Please find a good church community, they are still out there. Many are meeting online but they still have resources they are happy to give their community families. The Lord walks with you through the valley of the shadow of death. He says that His children will not be put to shame. This season is part of your battle, Warrior sister. God has given it to you, so please continue to keep faith that you are able to carry this burden. He will not abandon you

this is so true. I had heard the gospel and repeated it thousands of times saying that I believed in Jesus and what he did for me on the cross, but never actually believed on it. Once I finally had that revelation, the scriptures and understanding of my relationship with God opened up and it was all made clear. Its shocking how simple, but significant, the understanding that the grace given by truly believing on Jesus for our salvation and our life really is. Great conversation.

I have not purchased a book for myself in decades. Within days of watching this video I purchased Dr. Storm's book. It sounded like exactly what I need. I received it earlier today in the mail. I finally sat down to start it and I just finished reading the prologue. @Jerri Orwell hi Jerri! The Bible tells us that Jesus came to fulfill the prophecies of the Messiah, the savior. Jesus is the savior that everyone was waiting for, based on thousands of years of text. Other people also lived before Jesus (prophets) who said He would come as the son of God in the flesh, and would be the salvation for mankind. Jesus was worshipped from the time He was born. People would come from all over the world to bow down and see the newly born "king." The current king at the time tried to find Jesus as a baby to have him killed, because the king was already jealous! The king did finally kill Jesus, but not until later on. Jesus did have disciples. They called Him their "master" and "Lord". He told them, "if you know me, then you also know my Father," meaning God. He also had other friends he spent time with, He did miracles, He healed the sick, raised the dead, debated with the ultra-religious, and cast the darkness out of those who were posessed. But of all the power, love and kindness He displayed during His short life, He did 2 much more important things-- 1. Shared His message that beliving in Him is the one and only key to eternal salvation 2. His death and coming back to life was the penalty paid for every soul. From then on, we no longer have to try to earn love, Jesus's life and death were enough. Anyone who believes in that, will be adopted into His forever family. Anyone who gives their heart to that belief in what Jesus did, will be set free. Chains will no longer hold them to their addictions and the sins that they want to be free from. The love of Christ will fully consume them. To know the love of Christ, we have to know Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Jeremiah 29:13
After I feel that I have failed someone, I have failed God & feel unloving but get reminded time & time again of Jesus and His love & grace that pours over me so much that I literally feel His presence & with my tears flowing is like a healing balm to my heart & soul. You just have to ignore the negative thoughts that satan puts in our heads to try to lead us astray from God's love! 🙏😊
Hallelujah!!! I’ve been struggling and seeking help with all of these issues mentioned.. My jaw dropped so many times during this video because the precise problems I’ve experienced were specifically addressed and named... even in the same words I’ve used to try and describe the issues to my husband and sisters in Christ. I shouldn’t be too surprised because he is the same Spirit working in all the body! But I just was so blessed to hear this. Praise the Lord. This video was an answered prayer for me! God is so faithful.

I can preach to others and exhort and encourage them, but it seems impossible at times to believe His love for me! @37:46 Amen! this is so true! It was when God led me to the doctrines of grace that I just could understand deeply what My King did for me and I truly found myself in an absolute love and continuous worship of His Glory and His love for me.
In the past year, the Lord has really been teaching me about most if not all of these points. I've struggled through them, and here are some things God has taught me that I would add to the discussion: I was struggling to understand the love of God for me, how God could say to me "there is no flaw in you" (s of s 4:7), and how He could ever be pleased with me. When I brought this to Him, He said "there is no flaw in you that I am not committed to loving out of you, so to me you are already perfect". I used to be on the "I'm worth the blood of Christ" train, but the more I dive deep into the hole of "I'm a wretched sinner that deserves nothing from God", the more I encounter the deep waters of His unfailing, undeserved, yet unending love for me. When I thought I was worth it, I was upset with myself when I acted below that standard and was caught in works righteousness. On "forgiving myself"...I don't have a problem with that terminology, but I can understand why Dr. Storms does. But God revealed something to me that brought me such great freedom: The reason why I have a hard time letting go of punishing myself or being my own judge and condemning myself for my sin is because of pride: I think that I knew better than that, and that I'm better than that sin. Jesus was straight up with me. He said "obviously you're not, Kylie. You did it. You're not above that." And I was able to identify with the sin, see the truth about myself--the dark, ugly truth--and then realize that He loved me just the same as when I thought I was a better person. And this lead me to true repentance. It was so freeing. And from then on, I could love other sinners in their sin and not look down on them for it. But I had to learn how not to look down on myself and then receive the love of God there, first. Lovely video, thanks for sharing. I find it rounds out this episode of this season that I'm spending with the Lord.

This video sums up this past year for me. God has brought me back to basics...bible reading, prayer, praising Him with song, obedience and repentance. He has poured out His affections on me! I have felt His kindness, love and delight in me like never before! God is SO GOOD and Kind. I have felt Him singing over me and I want to do whatever it takes to remain in this place. The part where you both spoke on fathers. That hit deep. I remember before I was with Christ, I physically could not call my biological dad "Dad". I still have my reservations but I have forgiven him because I know that God is so faithful. And he really is there for me to comfort me when I need it most. He is the father I never had and that's more than enough.

No matter what I'm feeling, about myself, I believe The Lord loves me and I am forgiven and free from sin. If I sin, I know that He still loves me. The Lord knows being a human being has its downfalls. I know The Lord loves me. His mercy is fresh every day. His faithfulness is GREAT!!

Truly knowing the love of God is just another thing I keep trying to do in my own strength. This was excellent. I think more Christians struggle with this than we realize.

In my experience the truth of God's love can be felt when I see the weary wayward mind and its strategies, desires and failures and really acknowledge that I have drifted and need to be saved by Him.

Thank you for doing the work of an evangelist and I love your website. I believe in all that God is doing in your life. I just donated to you. I went to a church that understood this revelation as a child. The church is called Christian Hope Center in Painted Post, NY. God is still speaking and singing over us. Thank you for sharing your transformation with all of us! Truly a testament to God's love. Thanks for Dr. Sam Storms wisdom. God's love does wondrous things to awaken us to Him and His love . I ran for a long time, thought I was not worthy of such a love but did not know exactly why I was running. Trauma can leave that scar on the soul, I guess. I was in a similar situation as you with the New Age movement. At that time I thought I was enlightened. God loved me so much that he came down to rescue me in my darkest night of my soul and showed me his love. Showed me why I was running, where my pain was coming from, the root cause of all my pain. I literally cried out Lord, God please help me. He heard my cry and saved my life. I never felt more loved, wanted and beloved then when he made his presence known to me. I can't describe the experience with words. Changed my whole life. I loved you at your darkest- Romans 5:8. I plan on getting this book. Thank you for sharing!

Not sure why I’ve not seen this video before, but man! This is so edifying. I never knew or understood God’s great love for me until I backslid approximately 20 years after I was saved. I mean I slid hard into that ditch. After 5 or so years He got ahold of me and said enough is enough, it’s time to repent and come back to me. I knew all this time He had never left me but as I repented I was afraid he wasn’t listening. As I prayed and prayed I began to know he was listening and I heard Him laugh with joy. He was overjoyed that I knew that he knew. Anyway…this was when I started to really know his love for me. Ephesians 3:14-21 is my all time favorite verse. I mess up in thought or deed almost daily but this love affair helps me to keep my account short with Him. It’s the “knowing” of His love that makes all the difference. I've been a christian for 40 years , and felt God's tangible love for the first time last year ... If love could meet your heart, that's a close description of what I felt. I have never followed experiences but there are experiences we can have with God, with His Holy Spirit that is what we were wired for. As we are healed of life's hurts , we draw closer to God and these 'tangibles' follow those who believe, so to speak.

God uses ALL things.... i’ve been struggling with those thoughts for years the Lord gave me the Zephaniah verse about singing over me years ago which I wrote above my bed so that I’d see it when I laid down .... still struggling and then the Lord gave me the Ephesians 3: 14 through 21 which he told me to write up on the wall in my bedroom which I did in permanent marker last year but covered it up with a picture thinking oh well yeah🤷♀️and then last night during prayer time with fellow believers the very Scriptures was out of Psalms 103😝 as I sat here listening to you two gentlemen talk all I could do was (you know that song David teams wrote years ago for this there is no language but I cry!) there was just a cry that come out out of my spirit and I know that God has been singing over me for years but I’ve never believed it and I cannot thank you enough I pray Jesus that I fractured my ankle and I’ve been sitting here unable to do anything four days but if it did nothing else but bring me into the posture I needed to be and where I could sit and be still and hear what God was saying so I bless you both in Jesus name I think God for his continued love and scripture and I ask you Lord to bless both of these men’s ministries in Jesus name and PS I just ordered three copies of Sam’s book to give to my sons who were raised without a father for Christmas 🙌🙌
i spent years listening to others but its only ones own walk with God that truly shines a light on what is up. there's so much comfort about this and about that from others... but once your up against it yourself, you don't have to listen to others all the time... you also begin to understand when and what others words are. I'm done with gurus and comfort books. everyones struggle was their own in scripture... there were no gurus... and so it remains today. you have to hear from God yourself and walk with Him. nobody can really tell you anything except When God talks through them... which HE can and does... but maybe not nearly as much as one may think.
