Ephesians 5 is about walking by the Spirit of God, that we may live a life that glorifies God through Christ. It isn't about having the 'best' of anything in this life or "getting what God has for you". That isn't the goal. The goal is to glorify God by living according to His will. The way we do that is to surrender to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, whom we receive after we have repented and placed our faith in Christ. It is one thing to have Jesus as "Savior" but you can't truly have Jesus if He isn't also your LORD. Christ must be LORD of our lives that we are able to work out our salvation with fear and trembling...for IT IS GOD Who works in us to will and to do for His good pleasure (Phil 2:12-13). The Holy Spirit guides us to do what pleases God. But we must first surrender to His guidance, and we aren't guided by Him if we aren't first repentant of our sins and if we haven't accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord AND Savior.

Thank you Lord Jesus. Give me power to know your will and to Do your will. Remain blessed my dearest Pastor JkJS. Amen
