This is true. Every man I’ve been friends with has said they know by the second or no later than the third date if they will marry the women..so waiting for years for him to make up his mind, is just wasting your time.

@@SaraX2024 exactly. my ex was love bombing me we were dating long distance, he told me he wanted me to move where he lived in the early stages but then later said he didn’t say that. He was definitely future faking and I unfortunately believed what he said but we broke up luckily before I actually moved there.

I was in the same situation a few years ago. I eventually had to leave because he did not have his stuff together. It hurt me too, but I realized that there was nothing I could do to change his mind. Sounds like my ex sister in law: 8 yrs of dating and no ring. After several years of cohabitation they bought a house this year and she is now pregnant to her ears. Still no wedding plans (from the guy's side). Actually, it got the point that she proposed him three years ago, with rings and everything. He said yes, but, since he doesn't actually want to get married, they've stayed the same for the past three years. I just wanna shake her and say honey you deserve more ❤

One thing that's crossed my mind is how other cultures do things and there's room for alternative forms of commitment. In Turkish culture there's 3 rings: a commitment ring, engagement ring and finally a wedding ring. Could we just stop at a commitment ring? It doesn't require legal backing but rather, anoints your relationship status. You could have a ceremony if you like. I appreciate the ceremony could be too close to marriage for some. For those that live together, where I'm from, you could have a 'cohabitation agreement' this could serve as the basis for all the financial stuff.

Not really. Because you still want a serious good guy long term. So you have to make sure you're investing your time, youth and beauty on the right guy. You don't wanna entertain a jobless guy from 29-35 years for example.

My girl ... where I was raised, men are not even allowed to think of touching you before marriage. Run. Run the hell away from that dude, and don't even think about it. He wants kids outside of marriage? That's literally robbing you of your rights as a woman. You need stability, peace, safety, and a stable income. I'm not sure where my other comment has gone, but I'll rewrite it. Also, on top of everything, you must remember that it doesn't matter whether you love the guy or not. You can love him all you want, and he's still going to ruin your life, and rob you of your rights as a woman and if you have a job chances are that later in life he's going to take advantage of that and ask for money (when he isn't even in desperate need of financial help, and im not talking about him paying off his debts or his gambling addiction debts) if he doesn't love and cherish you. He MUST love you and take you seriously. Otherwise, what are you doing? Woman, I know that I'm a stranger on the internet, but trust my word ... find the nearest exit and run. This man isn't the one. Don't even think about it ... just run the hell away from him. Trust my word as a woman who has seen the ugliness of those kinds of men.

This is really the last response I'll be giving here... you made a mistake when you lived with your ex outside of marriage. Don't repeat your past mistakes. If a man wants to live with you, then he should marry you. Why would anybody marry a woman if she's willing to give him all wifey things (living with him, intimacy, services like cooking, etc) outside of marriage? It's pointless to a man to marry a woman if she's giving him everything without a commitment from him. Woman, protect yourself, and treasure yourself. What happened has happened. Start over and I am sure that you'll find a man who is willing to marry you!

As mentioned, you need the legal protection of marriage. Where I'm from there is a 'cohabitation agreement' that could be used however, I'm not sure if this is in quite the same league as marriage. You're taking a risk having kids. There's a small risk to your life from doing so. Make that clear you're willing to make that sacrifice and all you ask is that you are married. A good man will certainly come to his senses. Look at the stats on child birth and mortality. You are worth it I'm a man and my wife was worth it. I would give my life for her.

Plenty of reasons to be married over 30.

You are at the peak of your life at about 30. All down hill from there for both. If you're young still you won't understand till you're older. If you are 30 or older .. stop hating yourself
