How To Know That God Has Forgiven You 

I "know" God has forgiven me, but I constantly live with the regret of my sin and the overwhelming sensation of being "unforgiven."

I keep needing to hear this. I still struggle with sin, and have been fearful of if I'm really saved. I keep thinking if I'm saved why do I still sin? I thought getting baptized would change me ,but I still sin. I keep saying I believe, but I still sin. My heart is sinful, but I believe. I question myself do I really believe? Because if I did wouldn't I be changed? Wouldn't I stop sinning? I feel like there is something I'm just not getting.

I had an experience while having a heart transplant, I was convinced I was going to Heaven until a heavenly being told me it wasn’t my time, I learned that loving one another was what’s important.

I love this and I believe it with all my heart. I can now start my redemption and live the life God has asked me to live. I want to become a servant of God. I want to follow everything God asks me to do. This world is going away and I want to start building a life in heaven.

Before I knew Jesus I was in a relationship. Towards the end of the relationship I was diagnosed as a type one diabetic when I was ill with mono. The mono attacked my liver, I lost 30 lbs making me weigh 130. Once I recovered and started treating myself with insulin she left me. I was ripped apart, I drank nearly 1/5th of vodka daily for a month and cursed her out saying anything I could to make her feel the way I did. 6months later my friends told me about what God did on the cross and I wept. I prayed that one day she would reach out so that I could tell her about God. One month ago, 2 years after I last spoke to her she reached out and apologized. I’m still waiting to see her in person if it is God’s will so I can share the gospel with her appropriately. Please pray that she receives the gospel so I can save her soul because I love her dearly.

I always find myself coming back to these videos, I sin out of sheer ignorance, my mind goes completely blank and I'm like a zombie and I say and do things that I don't even want to do. I know I'm wrong, I love God and I want righteousness. I want to be in the presence of my lord, I don't want to be away from him in anyway. I live my life in the ways of the world but in my heart i'm not like this. I'm constantly talking to God about my mistakes and how it comes naturally and I always fail everyday and have to ask forgiveness each day. I hate my body, I have body dysmorphia, depression, anxiety, PTSD. find myself always being hateful because I don't even love myself sometimes, I love others but can't even love myself

All my works are as filthy rags and nothing I ever do can balance the scale. My believing in Jesus results in Jesus balancing the scale by His righteousness.

I wish more Christians could grasp this! This right here, what you spoke of, was my source of joy when I was born-again and I had a good teacher who emphatically, tirelessly taught as you did, until we could accept it! It sounds too good to be true---but it IS true! Makes a huge difference in the confidence we have in Christ. My teacher had a little acrostic for who we are by the Spirit who indwells us. She called it: PIES = Perfect, Incorruptible, Eternal, Sanctified.

Mr Pearl, I have a question. There is a thing that haunts quite a number of christians. Could you please address this issue? It`s about Intrusive thoughts. When a person has thoughts of blasphemy against God, but completely unwanted. Meaning, they just come to mind out of nowhere, and that leads to big frustration and insecurity. Because you start to feel very unworthy and ashamed before God when praying. If you google about it there are quiet a number of people discussing this, who experience that, and that is horrible, a torment, and I don`t know how to get rid of that. I am not living in sin, and I believe in Jesus with all my heart. But still I experience this! Also I have no mental problems or anything, and I started having this only after conversion. I saw your video titled something like ``Can Satan read your thoughts`` but it is nothing like it. It is like your own mind says these horrible blasphemes, but unwanted, it is not even a temptation, I have no desire to think these things, they just come! Shouldn`t be a case of possession either, because at the moment they come, I only feel disgusted at them and want them to go away, plus nothing about the gospel disturbs me, I love the principles of God and absolutely no repulsive reaction against God or the bible. Please give us a word about this subject. I know that others also have this problem. So the question is, does God understand and forgive that? Any example in the bible? Thanks for reading it.

I have spent years in what could probably be described as a Lukewarm Christian. There was a period of time of intense shame and guilt from screw ups being revealed that helped me turn from sin and have been seeing a lot of growth from that state but I notice that I am being attacked spiritually more often and stronger. Particularly at night in those transition moments from fully awake to asleep and out of it. This is new and asking for prayers. Jesus is lord and savior and I have repented and prayed for these attacks to be blocked.

Forgiven of what SIN, sins? Why do you bible thumpers say we are Saved by Believing in Jesus...but that's not enough...and then you add to and change it to were Saved by Faith Alone...and forgiven ours sins by the BLOOD of Jesus. NO, we are SAVED by BELIEVING in the SON of GOD ALONE! Best sermon on the GOSPEL I've ever heard. I thought I was saved about 10 years before I was saved! When I received the Holy Spirit I KNEW I was saved. They were wonderful self righteous rough tribulation years. I served GOD in the Church [building] 2 to 3 days a week I gave about 30% I was so GOOD. When I received the Holy Spirit, It was revealed that God did not like my rotten fruit. There is only one acceptable offering. The Blood of the Lamb HE provided!

Religious authorities teach that they alone can approach the Holy of Holies and make supplication for the people. That the populace can approach God only through religious authorities by believing blood sacrifices appeases God; therefore, people obtained "forgiveness of sins." Jesus repeatedly taught that we would receive the Father’s forgiveness of sins according to our willingness to forgive others - for it would be done to us according to our own sowing. Jesus also taught us to approach the Father directly and pray in simple terms, asking for what we need in life and assure us that we would be heard and our prayers answered, providing we pray with total faith - with no doubt in our minds. We must understand that everything Jesus taught was in direct conflict and opposition to what the Elders taught, which was why religious authorities hated and crucified Jesus, since Jesus was robbing them of their exalted positions as "personal henchmen of the Almighty."

Youll know youre forgiven when youve called Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, and truly repent! His salvation has nothing to do with you or your efforts so do not stress about it. Simply call on your Lord and repent and He will be faithful to forgive!

We are not dead to the law. Go back and read your bible again Paul said by no means do we do away with the law. We do not obey the law for salvation but because we are saved by Yesuha by his grace and the holy sprit is our helper to do so.

I had a false conversion when I repeated a prayer a pastor told me, not even understanding the gospel and was told I was saved. I had the impression that that prayer saved me. The "conversion" didn't stick and eventually I went back to a sinful lifestyle. It wasn't until years later when I was alone with God He convicted me that I was a sinner and I repented and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. That was a genuine conversion that didn't fit the ABC salvation prayer formula, but was a cry from my heart that I knew I was a sinner on my way to hell and Jesus Christ was the only answer.

This is an easy one. How do you know you are forgiven and saved? 1st John 3: 14 says, "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death." Now this does not mean we have to love the "ways" of our brethren but we must love our brethren despite his/her ways. What were the two great commandments of Christ that condensed the ten commandments? Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind, and soul. Secondly love thy neighbor as thyself. These two cannot be accomplished if any of the ten are broken. Without acceptance of Christ in the heart through repentance and forgiveness of sins by the shed blood of Christ keeping the commands is impossible. Self reformation is not possible. Only Christ can change hearts and reform lives. Thanks for sharing.

If I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, can I use that past salvation to cover future deliberate sins that I have no intention of giving up, but since I was once saved, I'm saved no matter if I live a life of sin? That's what was told to my son. He has wanted his life on drugs and alcohol but he's convinced he's going to heaven. Wants to die so he can get there sooner. I'm worried he's misconstrued something. Your thoughts please.

God has forgiven those believers who come to Him nd ask to be washed in the blood through our high priest, Jesus Christ, who through grace (continuous intercession) cleanses us from all unrighteousness and reconciles (unlimited reconciliation) to God as holy, just, and true. The scripture says to be continually reconciled to God through repentance (a believers term) and coming to the throne of grace.

There is NOTHING Wrong with asking GOD to Forgive you for yours Sins. To me this is part of it. You definitely need to ask JESUS into your Life. Repent by changing the way you live. And Believe and have Faith in GOD and JESUS and the Holy Spirit. You should get Baptized. You should do good works by helping others in need. We all have our own relationship with GOD. You will know if you are truly Saved. I grew up in a Full Gospel Pentecoastal Church.

Can you do a video about; "How you know that God has CURSED YOU"??? I'm now 70 years old, and looking back, my entire life has been lived under a CURSE since my memories begin at age 3. If it's not from God himself, he sure has just stood by and let the Devil (or some other EVIL entity) have his way with me!!!!! Yes I'm a Christian. Yes I read THE WORD. Yes I PRAY DAILY!!!!! But, my prayers are either ignored OR I get the exact opposite of that which I've prayed for. A few years ago, my wife was very sick. And I was on my knees in Prayer nearly every night, asking that SHE BE BLESSED and get well. Within just days, she had a horrible stroke, that nearly killed her. Took 2 years just to recover enough to come back home. And left her debilitated and in a wheelchair ever since! So please! If there is a way to stop this CURSE, and stop such bad thinks from occurring, I'D REALLY LIKE TO KNOW!!!!!

When it finally “clicks” that we are considered a spotless lamb, white as snow, clean and free indeed, joy illuminates off our faces. We then feel the peace that cannot be explained and how glorious that feeling is. His precious blood for a wretched sinner like me…He crazy loves us, His greatness creations that He only wants to have a relationship with, I mean, how beautiful is that!?? He was despised, rejected , spat on, dying the cruelest death INTENTIONALLY for people that wanted nothing to do with Him….it blows my mind…. Can you imagine during the millennium when He is on Earth, people still rebelling at the end !!….maybe as His Saints we can witness to the mortal ones….we shall do as He says. The woman is the Ezer Kenegdo which is defined as helper rescuer savior warrior. This word is only used in conjunction with God and the woman. (Never in reference to man) Only men pass sin to their offspring, women do not. Jesus Christ, born of a woman, born the sinless lamb of God, did not inherit the sin of Adam from his mother. Again, ONLY MEN PASS SIN.....

I've always said that to "BELIEVE," is a word of 'action,' not just a mental affirmation of a Biblical scripture. Satan believes... But he's still Satan, right? But Salvation is one of Faith. And if you have Faith, that He can save you, then you can be saved. But Faith without works, is also dead... If you Believe you are saved, then act like it! If you have Faith, then act like it! The Messiah told the woman, brought to Him, after being trapped by the men and brought to Messiah. When He asked "Where are your accusers?" She replied, "They have all left me here alone before you." His response to her, is the same response to all of us... "Go, and sin NO MORE!" If that was impossible, then the Messiah just condemned the woman to destruction. She was an adulteress. He forgave her for being that way and told her to go, live her life, and don't commit adultery anymore. "Fear Yehovah, and keep His commandments. And love your neighbor, as you love yourself." For THIS is the whole duty of mankind. And IF you're saved, then living according to His commandments is possible. You'll want to live by His laws and His word. It's not impossible, and it's a blessing! Only those who reject salvation and are buried in their sins, cannot live this way, nor would they want to.

So glad this video appeared on my page. Since beginning a return to Faith I have been bombarded by recommended videos that claim you need to do so many things, that 98% of Christians are doing it wrong and going to hell, and all this stuff when the message of the Bible itself is fairly straightforward and supports little to none of that negativity. I will continue to explore God's word itself, as that is the main source!

I realized *just* how merciful and loving God is, the scale and intensity of it. Watching this video, God gave me a revelation. He is the master of giving second chances. Throughout the entire Bible He's given sinners a second chances because He loves them; Adam, Eve and Cain by not killing them immediately but sending them away, Abraham, Abimelech, Jacob, Josef's brothers despite what they did to Josef, Moses despite killing a man God chose him to lead Israel's people out of Egypt, even Pharaoh was given 10 whole chances to turn away from his sin, and then the whole nation of Israel has been given way more then 10 chances. Despite the sins of all His chosen peoples, He was determined to bless them and eventually bless the whole world by delivering the Messiah, our Lord and glorious Savior Jesus Christ. Halleluiah! (Fun fact I learned also, just for the people who may not know, "Hallelujah" means "Praise God". I believe it was Hebrew :D)

This might seem like a poor analogy, But what comes to my mind is: " The Whipping Boy" of Medieval Times, Where the Kings Son was Royalty and therefore could not be harmed Whenever he was naughty, but had a Close childhood friend who would be a " substitute " for the Kings Son and be Severely Punished in Front of the Kings Son for the Royal Son's Bad Behavior. Thus causing the Kings Son to watch in horror as his close friend was Severely punished, ( whipped) Causing the Royal Son Mental Pain and Anguish and ( hopefully) Learning to Behave as a Kings Son should! ( taught a lesson)

The fact is we are nothing nothing we can do due can save us works and unfortunately a work is nothing this is GOD what can you do nothing BUT Roman’s 10:9-10 Jesus no matter what word spelling saying Believe in Christ and sin is sin for we all have sinned or are sin BUT believe have faith in CHRIST and what is a work after that small last minute turns from wickedness last moments but the kingdom draws rapidly satan accuses this world strangles you but God gives GIVES beautifully with more mercy and grace that you forgive others under get it it’s done given freely works is satanic
