Cool video. Still not sure about the magnet... have you tried tying the string and magnet to some where that is more stacked than your hand and see if there will be any movement once the magnet stops moving.

If these all dont work for you, dont be afraid. They can be physically identical to us and still be different sexes. There can also be signs of them being both male and female in any lovebird. Also, two males can be a couple, and two females can be a couple. This is why its popular to send feathers in for analysis. Another way to know if they are male or female: Wait to see if there are eggs.

hi harko! they can start to breed at 6 to 8 months. but i recommend 1 year up to prevent problems. mostly seeds and greens and if you can find high protein pellets. u can use chicken pellets. much cheaper. i have a complete guide on this. check it out. how to breed african lovebirds. happy bird keeping!

thanks. make sure to provide a nestbox and nesting materials to encourage them to breed. the hen will do the construction of the nest. while the cock will just play with the nesting materials.
BIRDIOLOGY my lovebirds have been together over a year and have a nestbox but still not breeding. he shreds paper all the time & is very cage& food bowl & nestbox protective. shes real calm & doesnt seem too interested in breeding. she was still young when i adopted her. thank you for this video. it helped a lot.

9:20 my female lovebird does this all the time, My male does his matting dance by himself and she pays no mind, now opposite when female in mood and puts tail up in his face, she even tries to help him get on her back but he wants no part or does not know what to do. is it their first time to breed? there are many factors why they do that. they may be too young for breeding, atleast it must be over a year old. or they are stressed or got spooked by predators like cats or rodents, or the cage location has lots of human traffic. and dont look to check the eggs everytime.
Hello Sir. I have a very confusing bird. Let me describe the physical traits. Its almost 2 years old. The head is flat, tail is not that pointy nor that wide.I have seen it regurgitate food like you showed in the video, also scratches the head with the legs. I have kept it with a confirmed Male. So this is my confusion. Physically it looks like a female but regurgitates food and scratches its head, so behaviour is like a male. yes sir. pwede mag pair hen to hen at cock to cock. pag sumobra pa sa anim mga eggs, usually parehas na hen. yung behavior na paikotikot na dance ang hanapin mo sa cock. halos di ginagawa ng hen yun.

Hello I have a 10 week old lovebird that is really afraid of water (not drinking but bathing). He also doesnt know how to eat anything but seed yet, is that normal? I tried giving him a tiny square of carrot, as small as I could cut it but he just chews on it and it falls out of his mouth. Is he just too young or am I doing something wrong?
@@ivytorresbase6076 i don't recommend putting them together. lovebirds will bully or it can kill your parakeets. but if it is a very large cage or flight, it might work for them.

May hand fed po kasi ako ibon love bird baby plang sakin na Siya lumaki at na tame and trained ko po sya.. then now balak ko po sana bilhan Siya ng makkasama nya ibon kaso ung adult na po sana para dalawang ibon na 500 lang. Okay lng po ba Yun na pagsamahin sila tatlo sa iisang kulungan kahit hindi tamed at hand fed ung 2 ibon? Hindi po kaya mag aaway un? Sana mapansin po Salamat po.. 🤗 2nd question ko po, gusto ko po sana I pares ung tamed bird ko kaso diko po alam yung gender.. at kung sakali bibili po ako ng baby bird dko dn po malalaman ang gender tama? yes, i will make a video in the future. but for now, you can check the tails and wings and look for the barrings or stripes. if the barrings did not go away in 8 months or a year, it means it's a female. the male will lose these stripes when they get into maturity. observe their behavior, the male always sing and noisy.

this video is insane really helpfull but i am still doubting it. when perching feets are far apart but with the color mutations my lovebird has. dark green on its wings stomach is light green near its head its yellow/orange ish and green again and its tail blue
