Will this work on a fiber laser? Also when you are centering a image into a shape. Just hit the bullseye icon.

Should work on a fiber since it is a Lightburn feature! I’m not familiar with the bullseye - I’ll have to check it out - thanks for the tip!

You’re welcome. It’s to the left of the vertical and horizontal tools.

When I click over to my fiber laser from my c02. This option goes away. So it does not work for fiber lasers.

@Things Katie Makes I'm going for a CO2 1300 x 900 bed size with air assist included. running Lightburn software with an optional camera fitted to help with alignment. I'm still trying to decide on a 100w or 130w tube upgrade I see on the forums that the extra power can affect engraving (the finer detail)

Katie, I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time to share them with us. Way back 25 years ago I owned a 40 watt Universal Laser, they were made in Scottsdale Arizona. This is hard to believe but, back then it cost $43,000 dollars. I don't own a laser now, just enjoy watching the youtube videos. When you were jogging the laser around and had a little trouble with the movements, I've watched several videos and know using Lightburn you can adjust those movements from a menu. Like, one setting for fast then using shift less, then something like Alt key for very fine movements. Take this for what it"s worth, old man and no laser or Lightburn ha ha. But I do enjoy your videos.

You might want to try increasing the lines per inch to 400 or more. It will increase the job time but you will get a darker burn. I agree though that starting low and slow and building up is a safe way on materials you haven't worked with before. Also, the 'Start from here' feature in the preview window will help with not having to burn the whole design again. Thanks for the great videos, especially the interviews.

Wait - I don’t know the start from here feature! I’ll have to check that out - that will be super useful. And I’ll test some LPI vs power/speed too. Thanks for being here and for the tips - I always learn something in the comments :)

How are you charging? Is it just time of machine? Or you adding a seperate rate for your design time too
@ThingsKatieMakes
@ThingsKatieMakes 4 месяца назад
I add cost to design if I’m creating an original design. Otherwise I have a base rate and then any additional time for the machine
