Useful vid thanks. I need to fit vinyl floor in kitchen just up to feet of base units and round end panels. Floor is concrete underneath. Should I do latex straight onto concrete? And just under where the vinyl will go presumably?
Great video.👌 How would you prep a bitumen floor which has had builders working on it for 2 weeks. It’s really dirty and I’m guessing you would need to prime it? P131 or the yellow p141.😃
What depth did you lay down there? And in your other latex video. .. it looks like about 3 or 4 mm? I don't want to buy too much or too little and I don't want to make my floor level much too high when I don't need.
You have to put down as much as the floor demands if floor is flat you can get away with 3mm but if the floors got ridges you've got to go 3 mm over the ridges and even it out over the whole floor
I love how RU-vid is full of positive comments on videos like this yet on Facebook people get ripped the life out of just for trying to show everyone it’s silly
Can I use this as flooring short term? My foyer needs full renovation. The floor is uneven. I want something that looks tidier for a 6 mos to year in interim.
Hi I have karndean vinyl flooring , can I self level over with a primer rathe than using heat gun to lift each panel ? They are glued solid to plywood subfloor
Hi I wouldn't recommend latexing over just go straight for the ply under the tiles and take it all up then knock all the stables down put new ply down and you are good to go 👍 hope this helps 🤞
Great video, I would like too do my floor with LVT. I have wet underfloor heating and they've used an anhydrate screed over it its been over a year its been down, watched your first video of sanding the floor, and using primar what brand do you recommend? And also for self leveling how many mm should I go over it when leveling and should I use latex or just self leveling screed. Thank you
What compound did you use? I’ve used stopgap 1200 pro for a kitchen. I now have to cover 18sqm of undulating 100yr old rosebury type tiles. A carpet will be laid so I only really need to smooth it out rather than levelling it after.
I love 1200 and use it for most floors I would stick to that if you go for cheeper stuff it might start to separate from the tiles thanks for the question I hope this helps
@@eggyfits thanks for the reply bud, it does help to confirm my product of choice. It was either that or ardex na, which is more expensive. At least with 1200 pro you can’t get the mix wrong as it’s bag and bottle. I guess I need to secure any loose tiles, then give the floor a good clean. Should I bother to prime it with p131 first or not?
@@eggyfits got plenty of p131. I was just under the impression that 1200 pro doesn’t need priming under it. I’ll happily prime it for the short time it takes to roller it on. Better safe than sorry I guess. 👍
Im having latex screed done tomorrow, how long before I can put my kitchen appliances back in ? How long before I can walk on it and how long until I can have lino laid ? Thank you in advance:)
