HOW TO LAUNCH AND LOAD A BASS BOAT BY YOURSELF! STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL! 

That trolling motor setup is slick!

Exactly how I launch my boat. I had a step added that allowed me to step from the tail gate to the trailer. I never had the nerve to call use the spot lock. I just tie off to the dock. My new Vexus will have Trick steps and a Garmin Force.

A few months ago we were sitting at the dock waiting to load up and watched a guy load his boat in. He obviously was new at it and I told my friends son "that guy is going to hit somebody". Not 10 seconds later he was backing up, got a bit crooked and tried to correct it by going forward and full throttled it. Ran straight into a guy on a jet ski, some folks shouldn't be on the water. Went out on the lake with my buddy Sunday, tied on a disco green super fluke for the first time ever and caught a large mouth. It wasn't a monster but boy was I thrilled. Was a windy day and as I was waiting at the dock for my friend to get his truck when we were finished, a big ski boat pulls up to the dock behind me. A lady was driving it and instead of pulling up sideways to the dock, she pulled up to it nose first and told the guys to jump off quickly. First guy made it safely and the second guy, well his foot missed the dock and he did a faceplant on it instead as his legs went into the water. Blood was pouring out of his face. Lesson of the day: Pull up to the dock sideways.

Just found your channel. Great relaxed attitude! Grew up bass fishing on my dads boat and finally bought my own with an Ultrex. Launching alone can be stressful especially after a long day and a crowded ramp. Great tips. FYI, tried the vinegar mixture...kicks butt on those water spots!

Very much needed this video. New boat is in the works!!! But I'm having the troubles on length ...17 foot or 18 foot.....big difference in price for one more foot of boat space, like 6k more! I can do both but financially but I like getting into those tight spots back in the coves. And if I go 17 foot I can have more upgrades like the Minkota Ultrex and maybe a Power Pole. and better fish finders. Will be me and the boy "he's 8" most of the time anyways. .......got me some thinking to do.

I only launch at cypress creek. Its easy to get my kayak out.But do you think you could tell me where else I could launch on travis

Hahaha...you're brave dude. Even with my Ultrex Im not sure I would lock my boat 4-5 off the dock. Murphy's Law might kick in and my remote might not be able to bring ole girl back! lol Then I gotta get wet and swim out there! lol I will typically just tie her off on the dock. Or power pole down. But honestly even power poling down doesnt always do the trick if the water is a bit rough. Been there done that. lol Thanks for the vid.

Even when I'm on my kayak at a blazing 1mph>, I still wear my PFD. Plus it has pockets for tools, ect..

Good vid Justin. When I got to the launch last weekend, the dock was not in. Was prepared with waders, but a nice lady was there to walk her dog, who backed my truck in the last few feet so I could drive the boat off , and she parked the truck for me. By the end of the day the wind had picked up to 20 mph and 1 1/2' ers blowing in right towards the launch. With the shallow, gravel beach had to spot lock about 25 yds out, wade to shore , back the truck, and wade back to drive the boat on. I made the decision to leave the Ipilot remote onboard, as I was concerned about the remote loosing connection at that distance, and the trolling motor going off anchor mode. Have you ever had an issue with that? Have you ever tested the distance of your remote? Thanks

Good job bro ! I just always take my keys to my vehicle with me each time on and off with the boat ! Never know when a crack head might want your truck ! I’ve seen it happen , someone got truck and both

I use a rope Look into the boat and trailer I can unload my boat in about 5 minutes

Here’s a pro tip. DO NOT TAKE THE REMOTE WITH YOU. Leave it at the dock. If u get to far away u risk disconnecting from the motor and will have to swim to the boat

Hey nkice fish n judusnt need any fancy equyijopmden t probabvly cuz you know the area and where youve fished before I have the fisbh fkinder to n a trulling motor but I rarely use either one n I have my methods son me stan dardx n sxo m swe lezzs con ventional almost aqlways use a worm threader n small hooks for the smaller fish but I use minnow n shmelt to and lures for trolling.I just like being out on the water but becareful the sun n reflection off the water can smoke you and your skin aS SWELL still a bad day fishing nis better tbhen any day working.
