How To Lay Block Paving Driveway - Full Process  

From someone who rates themselves highly as an experienced civil engineer who has installed many high end patios and driveways as a side business you should be very proud of the work on this project looks great. Attention to detail is key and is all about imagination and you have that in abundance. Good work my friend

Hello everyone, it’s been a while. I’ve been wanting to post this for weeks but work has got in the way. In the run up to Christmas I’ve been working 6/7 days a week so it’s not left me any time to edit this. The edit took me a good 6 hours, then I had a technical error which took me a further 6 hours to resolve! I lost the will at the end 😔 Anyway, it’s here now, hopefully it’s worth the wait ☺️ it’s a fairly simple drive but it’s turned out into one of my favourites drives we’ve done, well deffo in the top 10 anyway 👍 If you’re still reading this - well done - I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support through the year, it’s our first year on RU-vid and we’ve gone from zero to 5k subs which is amazing. A special thanks to Scott from Tidybricks, he’s helped me so much along the way. Thank you brother 💙 I’m genuinely humbled by the love & support shown here, you guys make me want to keep posting! So a massive heartfelt thank you for that. i think this is just about the best job you have done .. that i have seen.. so far .. your eye for detail is immense .. reminds me of my late father who .. back in the 60,s MADE HIS own concrete posts to build a fence line .. the detail he put into the posts even went to putting in wooden Dowling to let the ARRIS rails sit into them ..once they had set .. he could pull them out .. i watched him .. incredible man .. as all our dads are.. xx .. love the videos mate .. and sharing with your son .. in years to come you will BOTH look back on your working time together with much love .. have a great new year 👍

How comes you use gravel underneath most others I see use sharp sand for block base I mean is the sharp sand still ok I presume great work as per every video I’ve watched

If you can’t compact well enough can you put a layer of concrete under the pavers?

I can't afford to have a whole new drive again, but may I ask, what do you put down to stop weeds growing through the blocks, or grass spores falling down in-between the blocks? even though the sand is down and compacted? I found this happened after a couple of years of a new drive and now is a mare to keep maintained each year. Thank You.

nice project. looks awesome. what mix are you using for those kerb blocks? and what are you laying your pavers on it's obvs not sharp sand which is what I thought people laid pavers on?

I thought it was on this video but it's not! don't do many driveways but I've got one that has a scruffy tarmac edge onto the pavement. you did a quick tutorial on how to make a neat edge, could you send me in the right direction please. keep up the good work 👌

That’s a stupid law, forcing the home owners to make drastic changes to prevent what normally happens when the rain water flows into the streets and goes to a proper drainage that is supposed to be managed by the city. Unless the city or government are incapable of having a infrastructure that is adequate for removing run off water, which is why they passed a law to throw the responsibility onto the tax payers to not only take your tax dollars and then dictate to you the owners to do your job so they don’t have to worry and be accountable for anything.

Stunning job there . People don’t realise how much work goes into doing a block paved drive done properly. I’m a bit sick of doing it to be honest because of the work involved, you seem to have a good team there , where it’s just me and my brother in law ,so two blokes doing all that work and graft , we’ve been on our own for 10 years but done landscaping , groundwork, since I was 16 I’m 40 now🤦🏻‍♂️ alway pricing against numb nuts doing jobs for nothing , 10 bloke teams just smashing gardens out as quick as they can , no attention to details like you guys , it’s refreshing to see. Do you think RU-vid has helped you get better clients ? Sick of the mundane now , 👍
