Can someone please explain what exactly is the use of dpc in this situation? And isn't affecting the strength of the wall by separating the bricks layers?
@@solentslayer2745 a 2 year old could come up with a better come back than that. Get back to your office job you pen pushing mug. Leave man's work to men
@@akabrickmaster8714 that's the problem they want to see a proper bricklayer with skill who knows what he's doing not someone who thinks he's a bricklayer and fucks up a simple task of cutting a brick with his trowel then lays it upside down and thinks it perfect, I have hoddies who can do what you did in there sleep but get it a lot better and the right way up, you may be great in the pub telling your mates how good you think you are but when you put it out for the world to see your nothing to shout about in fact I apprentices of 1 year with better skills than your laughable effort, but hey you carry on thinking your great at what you do as the saying goes "a great bricklayer ain't cheap, but a cheap bricklayer ain't great" You crack on son enjoy the world as long as you can
@@wolfhachmuth7731 Insulation layers on crossing must be in direct contact, without any mortar between. Better choice is to use flame or heat to melt both parts and bond together. Only in this way is the water prevented from passing vertically along the wall.
@@peterm9009 disagree. Dpc needs to be bedded, to stop it from slipping. Council inspectors always ask for dpc to be bedded. Different with felt, when it's heated. Unfortunately not common practice anymore.
